Don't Waste Your Time!! Worst Service We have ever had; the Bartender; Diego was acting like a Fool; and gave us a hard-time on our Order; to a point we just walked-out. Look at all the Reviews; the Food and Service is Terrible. Don't waste your Time or Money.

One of our goto restaurants, have never been disappointed, service and food have been great every time we've gone and prices are reasonable. Staff is very friendly. Great lunch specials too

I believe they re-named their restaurant but the food is great as always! They used to be in the Seminole Towne Center Mall but have moved locations to SR46 now in Sanford. The food is always on point here, and delicious! The chips and salsa is some of the best in town, and the house made habaneros hot sauce, is literally fire!! Drinks are always cold and delicious here too. If you are looking for a great Mexican joint, look no further and pay this place a visit!P.S. I have been just recently ordering the whole fried tilapia, it is fried to perfection! My wife usual gets the street tacos. But everything I've ordered here is wonderful!

I've been wanting to try El Sol for a couple years, constantly driving past it. The exterior always seemed lackluster and a bit dull, so I never went out of my way to go. Well, I finally tried it and it was just ok. It's what I call an American-Mexican spot. It's not authentic Mexican cuisine, and that's ok. The food and service was just ok but the interior was a pleasant surprise. The first thing I noticed was the bar. It was pretty large and had that nice blue-light strip going on. The décor was much lively that I thought it would be. The complementary chips and salsa was a bit disappointing. The chips were ok but the salsa was not spicy and very watery. I ordered the lunch special #6; Cheese quesadilla, enchilada with shredded beef, and guacamole salad. The quesadilla was very simple and plain. The enchilada was better than I thought it would be. I liked the tender shredded beef that was reminiscent of the Cuban "ropa vieja". The Strawberry Mojito was good. Overall, the food was decent, service wasn't anything special, but the place was pretty cool. I could definitely see it being better at night.

The service was terrible. We sat at the bar for a long time before we were acknowledged. Finally after getting drinks and chips with salsa we sat and sat and sat with no one ever coming over to ask if we wanted food. The couple next to us however were asked 3 times if they needed anything. They appeared to be "regulars". When we finally flagged a girl down to order more drinks she made my husbands drink wrong then said the ingredient were mixed in the drink when clearly they were not. Don Julio's is way better if your looking for great Mexican and most important service that makes you feel welcome.

We dine here weekly, can't get enough! We met our server Amber today, she recommended the wings for a starter. AWSOME! And HOT! Always excellent service, portions. taste and a damn good margarita. If the show the NFL games come fall, we'll be lifers for sure!

I've been here quite a few times with my coworkers. I've always had a good experience but they can be a little slow. The wait staff are always nice. They give you chips and salsa free like many Mexican restaurants. The chips are good and come in different colors which I think is a nice touch. The salsa is a bit watery but it's still good, a little spicy. They're quick to give refills on the Chips & Salsa too. I usually get their margaritas but they are pretty strong. I went with a Strawberry Mojito this time and it was great, it's my new favorite drink there. I usually get the Shrimp in Chipotle sauce which is amazing but I wanted to try something new. I got the Carnitas plate and it was surprisingly good. It is a bit on the spicy side as there are jalapeños mixed in. Their rice is okay but the refried beans are pretty good. I really enjoy this place and I go all the time for lunch with my coworkers. I would recommend this place if you're in Sanford and want good Mexican food.

Just ok. Good looking menu but the actual flavor of the food was just ok. Best thing of the meal was the skinny margarita! Very fresh tasting! Even though they said it was low on staff, we went on a Sunday night and the service was pretty dang good!

They are currently understaffed, however even being such, they were very attentive, food and drink were quick, and they were very nice! Had the Supreme Nachos, very tasty! I personally wasn't a fan of the Corona-rita, but I'm very picky. Definitely will be back.
