I've been to a few of these locations around the state and had to swing by for a lunch prior to the Auto Train in Sanford. The garlic parmesan wings were recommended by the server and she was 100% correct. Crispy ski and a light creamy sauce coating combined perfectly. None of that oily, greasy garlic parm sauce. Really good wings. The pizzas were similarly fantastic - mostly due to the crust of course. They use a particular crust there and cook them perfectly with a little bit of crisp.went with 4 stars on service and atmosphere merely due to the fact that they were not busy at all yet we were seated in the corner of the building and the food delivery was a bit slower than you'd expect for it being not busy on a Saturday. But I guess you could factor in that the food was cooked perfectly so... probably worth the wait.

I had my daughter’s 4th birthday dinner there and it was such a great experience. McKenzie was our waitress and she was so kind and made sure the birthday girl and all the guests were well taken care of. The pizza and wings were absolutely DELICIOUS!! This is definitely a place you want to be for quality pizza and quality service.

Elizabeth is my new favorite bartender such a sweetie and she made the best spicy campfire peach drink for me and had tons of product knowledge for more fruity flavors that mellow has to offer. My great white pizza was also really tasty. I can’t wait to come back!

Don’t eat here. The owners don’t care about the cleanliness of the building. Crumbs and food scraps are left all over the place, food isn’t kept to temperature, and it’s not properly stored. If you’ve felt sick 24-48 hours after eating here, this is probably the restaurant that made you sick. They don’t use sanitizing buckets, they don’t have a proper dishwasher that cleans and sanitizes. This place is a nightmare for anyone who’s worked in a proper kitchen. The owners relabel food when it’s past it’s shelf life, they reuse dough that’s been far overproofed, and it’s generally a bad place to eat. Never go here. The owners are desperate for money are are trying their best to make the place seem presentable when corporate notices their oversights

If you ever get a chance to actually stop in and not just ogle the cool steampunk/psychedelic artwork in passing, you're in for a real treat. The vibe is super laid-back and retro, with colorful booths augmented by glowing LEDs - kind of an an Alice In Wonderland-meets-head shop decor. Pics of pop culture from the 60s and 70s line the walls, And the staff is super friendly and mellow. The food? Yes, the food. All the courses (anchored around specialty pizza) are made from scratch and hand-perfected, and there is presentation you would expect from a Michelin-star restaurant. Their pizzas show a real imagination in putting together a menu; for example, ours was the "Merry Prankster" (named after the famous Ken Kesey-led band of misfits) which featured cheese chicken, sausage, green peppers, red peppers and a garlic aoli drizzle. Like those stream-of-consciousness overlapping conversations among that group, there was a lot going on tastewise, but it all fit together in one harmonious composition. In short, get over to a Mellow Mushroom and see for yourself!Vegetarian options: They have both vegetarian and vegan selections.Parking: Parking is on-site with at least 30 spots.Kid-friendliness: There's lots to look at for the little ones (with the Alice theme) and there is also a kids' portion of the menu and seating enhancements.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance and parking are wheelchair accessible.

Mello Mushroom is always good. They've been around for a long time now. They serve good beer. Pizza is better than most places. Their corporate ethos is good. This particular location has only so-so service, but I would still recommend it. After all, it's just a pizza and beer joint, not fine dining.

A perfect experience. Walked in. Seated quickly. Drink orders taken. Ordered House Special. O my goodness. 1 large pizza fed 2 adults and 2 growing teenagers. The pizza was over the top good. Of course, the background music was perfect. Highly recommend, but make sure you are hungry.
