Update as of Sept 2025: very disappointed. They need to update their menu. I have tried to order the oatmeal or the parfait multiple times this year. They never have all the toppings listed available. I gave it one more shot today. I even asked 3 times if all the toppings were available. When the oatmeal came, not only were there toppings missing, the egg I ordered on the side was not made.
Side note: after we left, my husband told me our waitress had alcohol on her breath.
Update as of Dec 2023: so very glad Mel’s is back! The staff is friendly and accommodating, the owner is present and attentive, the music is fun and nostalgic.

I think this Diner has new owners because the food and service has been consistent and great this past year! Friendly, warm, quick service. Delicious and filling breakfast. Their biscotti waffles are the best in town. Their fried chicken Benedict is so dang good. I love this place as a weekend treat after a long week.

This has to be worst breakfast food restaurant. Come here only if you want to be served burnt and bad potatoes!! Our server told us that she would take the home fries off of our check but they checked us out with home fries charge. I only found out since I asked for the receipt at the end. AVOID SINCE YOU DESERVE A BETTER BREAKFAST!!!

I love all diners, so we were exited to sit and eat. We were greeted right away. Music was from the 50’s to each their own I suppose. Tennis was playing on the tiny tv screens. Everything looked old and dirty. Ordered breakfast with orange juice. My orange juice was foamy and tasted funny. Food came out fast. I ordered scrambled eggs with home fries, toast and sausage patties. My home fries were blanketed in salt. Couldn’t eat it. We paid and left as fast as possible. We won’t be back.
