We planned our 200 guest event at a venue from out of town and it was easy to work with Kayleigh to determine each detail for our menu. The night of our event went smoothly and our guests enjoyed delicious food. The highlight of the evening was the butler passed desserts! I had the pleasure of working with River City Catering for my mom’s 80th birthday party, and they were absolutely wonderful.
Before the event, we set up a tasting for my mom, but she caught a cold at the last minute and couldn’t attend. The team at RCC put together a get well care and tasting package with select items from her menu and detailed instructions on how to heat them up for optimum taste and texture. They even included a lovely note with well wishes.
At the event, they went above and beyond in every way. Quick example: when the venue unexpectedly did not provide trash bags or trash receptacles, the RCC team ran out to get their own to set up for the party.
They were creative and flexible, they made sure the food was displayed beautifully, and served at the perfect time so that everyone enjoyed a delicious meal. The coffee station was fantastic and even our most picky coffee aficionados complemented it. The dessert table was a delight. And everything was so delicious. Literally every single guest commented on how good the food was (seriously delicious).
This team really was incredible and I cannot recommend them enough.

River City catered my wedding at the Brannon Center in NSB. Kayleigh was wonderful to work with and very accommodating of some changes that were made as we got closer to the wedding day. My husband and I love brunch so we decided to have a morning wedding and a brunch reception. We love chicken and waffles so that was one of our entree options along with biscuits and gravy. The fresh pastries at cocktail hour were so flaky and delicious. I still think about the praline syrup!! I was so thankful that the food day-of tasted just as good as it did at the tasting. Everything ran smoothly and the staff was great at making sure that we had all the food we wanted and that our drinks stayed full during the reception. The bartender did a great job keeping our guests happy. Everything was set up wonderfully and looked as we discussed from the linen colors and napkin folds to the chargers and china choices. They were very efficient with cleanup too.
We did have a bridesmaid that cannot have dairy and they made sure she had a special plate of food so she didn’t have to worry about any cross contamination from the buffet.
I know weddings can get a bad rap for having lackluster food but everyone left with a full tummy and many people went out of their way to tell us they enjoyed the brunch buffet and how impressed they were. Even some of the older guests that we weren’t sure would enjoy the more modern idea, were happily surprised that they liked chicken and waffles (they had never had it before) and were glad they stepped out of their comfort zone.
While I don’t plan to ever get married again, I would highly recommend River City to anyone looking for a caterer for a wedding at the Brannon Center (or another venue) and if we ever need a caterer for another large event we would definitely consider River City!

I addressed my disappoint and no one ever followed up with me. Keep searching for another caterer.

I was sooo scared of getting food for my wedding that wasn’t tasty, or good. Thank God this didn’t happen with river city. The whole process was smooth, they responded to my emails very quickly, accommodated an appetizer that I requested as something from my country. The food was amazing I wish I ate more honestly, every body was talking about it, and the ultimate favorite was the beef skewers. Waiting on pictures from the photographer to post! bar people were AMAZING. So friendly and knew what they were doing. Shout out to the bar person that made me the best drink ever when the only info I gave him was “I like something sweet” you guys rock! I know where to go for future events!
