Bakers Like Birthday Cake Too!
I had the stressful task of getting a birthday cake for my good friend, who is also a baker—because, let’s face it, bakers deserve a special cake too, and she shouldn't have to bake her own birthday cake again this year! Luckily, Ms. Victoria from Simply Homemade 1913 in downtown Sanford came through and delivered an absolutely gorgeous cake with a quick turnaround.
We went with a lemon cake, and it was not only stunning but also delicious. The flavors were perfect, and the cake was both light and filling. The design was simple yet elegant, with personal touches that made it feel extra special. You can really tell it was made with love. I’m so glad I chose Simply Homemade 1913 to make this memorable cake—my friend loved it, and I’ll definitely be returning for future celebrations!

What a great, unexpected find during our walk downtown! You are instantly greeted with an amazing aroma and by the owner herself! It’s obvious that she loves what she does and appreciates her customers. We went back the next day for more. Delicious cakes and amazing experience. Loved it. ❤️

The absolute best spot for sweets in all of Sanford: everytime I've gone in here there are an array of desserts that were different from before, and are equally delicious. Additionally, Mrs. Victoria is one of the sweetest, and most hospitable owners in all of Sanford. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who can get the chance to go.
I had the most amazing experience here. Customer service, Bundt cakes, chocolate chip, and blueberry muffin were all delicious. The coffee Bundt cake taste just like coffee. I had a great experience here and it was worth it stopping by.

Victoria did an absolutely phenomenal job with the cheesecake, cookies, and bundts for our wedding reception. From the initial meeting all the way to the day of, she was very professional and kind. She made sure we were taken care of and our wants for the dessert selection were very considered. She is a fantastic person and I recommend her for any event, celebration, etc. Thank you so much!
Have seen the signs for the bakery and finally stopped in… I was so happy I did.. I purchased chocolate chip cookie, chocolate Bundtcake and banana nut bread… everything was so delicious.. my husband loved all the goodies!! I will definitely go back, this time with a bigger want list!! The young gentleman who waited on us was so pleasant and friendly. The whole experience was amazing!!!!
We stopped by today while at the Sanford Art Fair and purchased several treats. I just ate the apple tart and it was excellent. Now I'm sorry I only bought one of them. Luckily, we had purchased the mini pineapple bundt cake and the mini pistachio bundt cake too and both were excellent. But hubby is still pining for your lemon cupcakes that he tasted at the Picnic Project fundraiser. :-) We'll be back soon!

I ordered a custom birthday cake and it was an absolute hit! Not one crumble was spared in the box. We were so eager to try it that we ate it cold and it was so delicious. But when we ate it at room temperature IT WAS EVEN BETTER! ? I admittedly ate a few slices with my coffee too!Also, before the custom cake (vanilla), I went twice to try different flavors. We loved the lemon blueberry and key lime the most.Highly recommended and I will be returning and you should try it!
My Boyfriend knew I wanted a specific birthday cake but didn’t know where to order it. This bakery went out of their way to find the ingredient needed for my cake and were extra professional and kind. The cake was delicious and the great service will surely make us repeat customers!
