First time visit, went through the drive thru and the young person who took the order was joking around with coworkers and we heard everything through the teller machine. With this happening, they didn't put the bacon on my sandwich. Now people may say "it's just bacon" but the sandwich costs more than everything else on the menu. I paid for what I wanted and didn't get what I paid for. The food was delicious(minus the bacon), the shake was delicious, but the service was less than good. I'll be going again but I'm going to prepare the order myself.

Fantastic place to dine in after church. Friendly employees, clean restaurant and hot & delicious food. The manager greeted my family and I with a warm smile and kind personality. He went above and beyond bringing us our food to the table and helping me use the soda machine, ( FYI, please scan your QR code in your receipt to operate the Soda dispenser) Highly recommend if you are in the Sanford area.

People always take 20 minutes to do even a simple 2 item DoorDash/Uber eats. Let alone the fact that they give out the order to the wrong person half the time. Don't come here and waste your time with this place whatever you do. That is if you DoorDash or Uber. Lost 20 minutes and $20, get it together.
Hands down, the best Steak n Shake I've ever been to. This location had problems in the past, but the new management is consistently knocking it out of the park. If you've been missing real customer service in fast food, please don't lose hope until you try this place.If you're trying the Orange City location, just drive the extra 15 minutes for better food and service.Thank you Sanford Steak n Shake!

Extremely dirty location. Built up grime all over the place. Bathroom stalls had not been wiped in weeks. Floors were so sticky and stunk of dirty mop water, it was stomach turning. All the cushions are sunken in and broken. Didn't see one worker clean anything, including the dirty tables and any work surfaces. Only 3 tables occupied.We will never be back to this location and I pray we don't get sick from the food. Wish we would have just left when I first started to see all the filth but we had already ordered.
