Horrible experience. Service was terrible. Our server did not check on us and took 20 minutes after eating to bring our check. They add an automatic 18% on tip. The server could not care less because of the automatic tip. I usually tip 20 or 25% so I’m not mad about the Automatic I’m just upset it has caused terrrible service
Late dinner w/ my lovely wife. Food & drink was awesome.
I love it here. We stop in probably every six weeks or so. Margaritas are on point, food is delicious and prices are competitive for such great food. I don't know who wrote the bad reviews but there is no salad bar and the service I have received has always been great. Maybe some are averse to change but I am sure that they are back and enjoying the new location since this has long been such a great place to eat in Munster or NWI.
Always great food and service! The margaritas are fantastic ♥️
Place is over price who still charge 18% extra on a bill .. ridiculous.. me and my husband had tacos .. no drinks and our total was 78.62 never again lol
Great food and drinks all the time! Especially awesome, tonight my son ordered a kid’s meal with a burrito not realizing it came with salsa on top. He was having a bad day and starting crying when the waiter left. Without us even having to ask, our waiter Juan, noticed he was crying asked him what he could change and took his plate so he could fix it. It was so thoughtful and made our night and our son’s night.
horrible staff environment
Great food! Guacamole and Queso delicious along with fabulous Margaritas!
We rode our bikes here, had a margarita, and great Mexican food! I love it! Come to El Salto at Munster for the best food in town!
They told us 30 min but end up waiting 55 min. Food was good though

This is our go to spot when heading to Indiana. Located conveniently right across the border, this restaurant provides great value and great food to set you off on the journey to wherever you are going on Indiana. This is your traditional, hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant that really hits the spot.
(Translated by Google) Call and they never answered the phone and stop by the place and there was nothing to make me think that it is closed, a bad experience for me since it was the first time I went to eat I do not recommend it(Original)Llame y nunca contestaron el telefono y pase por el local y no havia nada me ase pensar que esta cerrado ,una Mala experiencia para mi ya que era la primera vez que fui a comer no lo recomiendo
Not bad service, but more expensive than the other 2 I've been too. The 1 in Merrillville is the better 1 of the 3 I've visited. I didn't like the 18% tip added to the bill at the end regardless of the service. In my opinion I believe the customer should decide. I never thought I'd pay $100.00 at a Mexican restaurant for tacos, beans and rice. I guess today was that day
We were seated right away. Chips and salsa soon arrived and drink order was taken and promptly received.
Unfortunately, this was not a great experience. The waiter was apparently new because we got no silverware, received a mixed up order. The food was so salty as to be inedible. They do offer a lot of choices for children at a great price however.
