Always enjoy it here. Used to go to Henry's Depot more often because of The Current. I do like this new location too. Keep up the good work!

My wife and I have visited this establishment since it was located in Henry's Depot. The new location in Downtown Sanford is still serving the dishes we enjoyed at the previous location. From the quality of the food, the cook of the proteins, the flavor and service- all are stellar. There is also a great selection of craft beers, wine and liquor. The owner Mike has a passion for Northeastern seafood and has brought that to Downtown Sanford. As a chef with 25 years of experience in the industry, my wife and I are selective about where we spend our time and hard earned money on our days off. The Current has checked all the boxes for us and we will continue to frequent this establishment. Stop wasting your time on chain seafood restaurants, go to The Current, taste the difference in quality and enjoy the experience.

Great place to come eat. Best Seafood in Central Florida and the most friendly and attentive staff.

This was our date night pick and it was terrible. We both had the recommended blackened mahi-mahi sandwich. It was a complete disappointment. The bun was twice as big as the piece of fish ( and it was small)with the thinnest slice(singular) of tomato , onion and lettuce. and fries. The salt content of the fries was so high it they were unhealthy and uneatable. We had club soda to drink. Worst meal ever!!! Don’t waste your hard earned money. We thought we’d try them again after they moved from Henry’s Depot and a dissatisfied meal there. If I could have given them less than 1 I would have.

I’m a Sanford local and I cannot emphasize how great The Current is. The food is always phenomenal, but that’s not all. They have a solid beer and cocktail selection. The staff is always friendly and the location right on 1st street is fantastic.

The blackened shrimp linguine was amazing. The staff is very friendly and all our entrees were delicious. 100% will be back.
