This was my second time dining at Tennessee Truffle in Sanford, Florida, and once again, it did not disappoint! The location is perfect—easy to access with plenty of parking. The restaurant may be small, but its quaint, cozy, and romantic ambiance creates the perfect setting for an intimate dining experience.

The service was excellent. Our waitress was not only kind and polite but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Speaking of the menu, it’s always evolving, making every visit feel like a new experience. It’s as if you’re attending a private catered event at your own home in Tennessee. The live jazzy, bluesy music only added to the atmosphere, making the evening even more special.

Now, the food—absolutely incredible. From the appetizer to the dessert, every dish was elegant and meticulously prepared. The chef decomposed the menu into something both approachable and sophisticated, delivering a level of quality that was simply magnificent. Each course felt like a culinary experience worthy of a top restaurant in Italy or upscale New York.

The highlight of the evening was having the chef come over to chat with us. It was such a pleasure to personally express how much we enjoyed his creations. The attention to detail, the flavors, and the overall experience make Tennessee Truffle a must-visit when in Sanford. A definite 10/10

If you are considering coming here for the first time, just do it, you can thank me later.

We have been here several times and it is always fantastic. The food was amazing. We decided this morning to go grab some brunch. We have heard great reviews from friends about their brunch and I will say it was quite delicious.

My only complaints was it was a little slow getting menus and putting in an order with the server. However it was quite busy and I did see several tables sit around the same time as us. I know how hard that is as a former server, but the girls were super welcoming and friendly and took great care of us.

I was torn between the Southern Croque monsieur and the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. I ended up ordering the Croque monsieur, and just so happened they had made an extra Bacon egg and Cheese biscuit and gave it to us because she knew I had a hard time deciding. And after trying both, I think I would be just as torn deciding which to get next time because they were both delicious.

My wife ordered the French toast, and what a fantastic and unique preparation. The bread was top notch and prepared perfectly. It was cooked in this delicious pumpkin butter and topped with scallions, and for most people that may seem like an odd topping, but the balance of sweet and savory made it just work. My wife opted for the traditional maple syrup instead of the smoked maple syrup. I personally think the smoked syrup would have presented a unique and interesting addition to the meal, next time I will get the smoked syrup.

We did also order the sausage links and they too were fantastic. A beautiful breakfast sausage cooked and presented beautifully. Full of flavor and seasoning. Jimmy dean, take notes, this is what a breakfast link should be.

We sat by the window at the two person high top table, and it was a bit warm over there, there was not much airflow from the air conditioning and the old single pane windows let a lot of the hot Florida summer heat into that area. I am naturally a very warm individual so by the end of breakfast I was a bit sweaty from how warm it was. Next time I’ll sit somewhere else and be fine. Just not the most ideal seating for the Florida summers.

We have also been several times for dinner and they shine in both dinner and brunch presentations.

We come in around 12 pm for brunch.
The coffee was very bad.
This place run out of sausages, which is the unacceptable for a breakfast place.
As a Buissness owner I suggest to keep at least frozen sausage links and offer it if you run out of farm sausage.
Water melon salad was very good.
We are not coming back unfortunately.

I recently had breakfast at The Tennessee Truffle in Sanford. It was absolutely delicious. I ordered the French Toast. And, I am happy to say, it wasn’t just any French toast. Chef Nat Russell is a unique cook. He does things differently in his kitchen. That’s what I like about him. He comes up with the most amazing flavors. And now, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. So the French Toast is made with potato chive bread. See how unique he is? He thinks outside of the box and his palette is amazing. He smokes his syrup and uses scallions along with pumpkin butter. Sweet and savory. If you want a unique experience and delicious food, I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. He uses a Columbian coffee called, La Meca. It was a strong dark roast but not overly acidic. My husband had the Bacon, egg, and cheese. It was served on a fresh buttermilk biscuit topped with a fried runny egg, applewood smoked bacon and Colby Jack cheese. Also very delicious and unique. Other menu items we want to go back and try are the Russet/Sweet Potato Hash, the Anson Mills Grits and the Watermelon Salad. I give this restaurant 5 stars.

Wow! This is the experience in dining downtown Sanford. Get a reservation and strap yourself in a seat.
The limited menu made it difficult to choose from all of the delicious fare.
Decided on the shrimp and grits with no regrets, started with the salade du jour and finished with ice cream.
Check this place out when you're in town.

Went to the The Tennessee Truffle tonight. Absolutely phenomenal food and service. Tried just about everything on the menu and I have to go back for the rest. Not pictured is the dessert that I didn’t have room for but oh so happy I did because it was divine.

Didn’t even know this place existed and I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to find it.

Dinner with friends and the best experience. We ordered almost everything off the menu and it was all incredible. Each dish is so thoughtful and the flavors are on point. Often we feel like we can just eat at home and have good, if not better, food. But here, the flavors and food combinations are so much more robust than anything we could do at home. I’ll be dreaming about that Caesar salad (something I never thought I’d say about a Caesar salad).

We recently had a surprise party here for my wife and Nat and his team nailed it. They did such an amazing job of making my wife feel special on her 40th that we booked another event and had my parents 50th anniversary celebration here as well. Everyone absolutely raved over not only the food but the service as well. We love the Tennessee Truffle and just finished a wonderful date night there as well.

Dietary restrictions: My wife has many dietary restrictions and they were made it so she enjoyed a night out again!
