Perfect waterfront restaurant with really great lunch menu

Amazing! The lobster roll is one of the best I ever had. Nice atmosphere. Stopped by for lunch, couldn’t wish for a better place to have lunch.

Great everything, bc that's truly what your paying for, we got 4 hotdogs and chips cost $46. Smile and not coming back.

I have to admit, I’ve always traveled to the other side of the island for dinner - man, we were missing out! Old school vibes, good food, GREAT service, and awesome cocktails made for an incredible dining experience. The views are hard to beat and the resident bird, Henry, kept the kids entertained. Gramma Dots goes on the list of must-do restaurants every time we come to Sanibel.

Waterfront or indoor, either way you’re gonna enjoy this meal! We got three different entrees to try but the star of the show was the fish and chips! The breading was superb! The scallops and shrimp were also yummy and came with veggies and an additional side. I would come back just for the fish.

Food was pretty good.
Henry the mascot was cute and eyeing everyone's food. The outside seating by the water is nice because it is covered and there are fans.
Service was pretty slow even before the restaurant picked up. It took a long time to get refills and get the check picked up.

Great view of the water! Service was awesome. Their version of a long island iced tea was good and the old fashioned was good as well. I wish I took a picture of the appetizer (fried coconut shrimp, fried oysters, and fried crab balls) not greasy. The sauces complimented the seafood nicely. But that's where it ends Blackened Mahi Mahi dinner with homemade chips and what had to be frozen mix of veggies (zucchini, carrots, and green beans), with a little fruit cup. Also, blackened grouper dinner, same veggies and a potato croquet. Fish isn't supposed to be square if it's fresh, this couldn't be. It was dry. Thank god for the dill dip/sauce. Veggies were flavorless, limp and overcooked. Don't come here if you're looking for a good seafood dinner experience. This was one of the worst dinners I've had in a long time. Not worth the price. Here's a tip, go to Bimini Bait Shack instead!!!

Absolutely amazing food, service, and atmosphere. We went twice during our vacation on Sanibel. My mother-in-law said the lobster roll was the best thing she ate on Sanibel! The surf & turf was great, and so was the grilled shrimp salad. The staff is lovely and the resident yellow-crowned night heron “Henry” made my sons’ day!

Gramma Dot's is very special, almost as special as my Gramma Dot! I loved hearing stories about the original Gramma Dot. She would bake pies and bring them to the restaurant, I was sure she was family.

Been here many times and this was by far the most disappointing.
Server was Amy. Never checked back with us, or asked how we were doing. I thought the fountain drink tasted terrible, asked for a coke….same thing. Tastes like the fountain heads are moldy, or recently cleaned with chemicals that came through.
When I told her the Arnold Palmer was “off”, the response was “OK…?”, not I’m sorry what else can I get you? Never checked back. Never saw a manager. No else came by to check on us.
Calamari was good, coconut shrimp were OK.

Kid-friendliness: Lots lot look at.

Our first visit to Sanibel and we were treated to a delicious lunch at this very popular marina restaurant. We were greeted warmly at the door and our waitress was excellent.
I enjoyed the special of the day, grouper sandwich, and my wife had a delicious cup of chowder.
The key lime pie however was very very tart and cost the food rating a star.
