All we had was calamari appetizer and salad but enjoyed both. I had salmon on my goat cheese enhanced salad, my wife had chicken. We also had the cherry/apple hard cider very good. We really liked the calamari and noticed quite a few orders coming out while we were there. Excellent service, helped us pick and choose on the menu as this was our first time.Lots of families in restaurant, noise level was up there but because of people, not blaring music.

Reaaalllly great vibe here. Feels like this is where the locals eat. Sad to hear the place has been sold and will close to reinvent itself. Oh well, we just discovered it. Food was very good. There was a wait but to me that's a good sign. People want to eat here. Anxious to see what comes next.

We are regular visitors to Sanibel and somehow missed this gem. When we heard that it was closing, we knew we had to get there before we lost our chance. The food was wonderful but what really stood out was the outstanding service we received from Adriana. Her easy going personality made us feel very welcome. Now we're sorry we waited so long to give it a try. Arrivederci, Matzaluna!

We had a delicious dinner at Matzaluna. Adriana, our waitress, was friendly, made sure we were happy with our meals, and provided wonderful service.

Walked in on a Ftidsy evening and were seated upstairs. The place was busy but not full. Aaron took our drink orders promptly and gave good advice. Italian bread was fresh and the olive oil/pesto was a nice dip. Kids peoperni pizza with added meatball was very good. Zucchini noodles with vodka duce and veggies was excellent. Shrinp scampi was good though I would have preferred the shrimp plain as opposed to the? coating that was applied-not bad, but for me it detracted from the overall taste. All in all a good meal at a fair price with good service..

We ordered take out (due to baseball playoffs starting around time getting home from a sunset cruise!) For take out our food wasn’t bad. I had chicken Parmesan - wife had lasagna. Both came with good side salads/dressing/bread. And we ordered a very good appetizer of bruschetta. Time we got it to our condo it was still warm and right tasty. And large servings so was plenty for leftovers! Only problem - all that and my team lost (the game but won the series!) Recommend although probably better yet “dinin in!”

Great food, drinks and fun for more than 25 years on Sanibel. Be advised—the portions are massive! Just love Matzaluna

Matzaluna offers delicious italian food in a classic italian restaurant setting. The pasta fagioli soup was delicious! My fiance and i both got pasta dishes and they were extremely tasty and authentic. Our server was Adriana and she was extremely friendly and kind. Having a smiling face always makes the dining experience even better. Go see her and get a nice dinner!

Enjoyed our first lunch so much, during our vacation, that we ate at Matzaluna a 2nd time, our last night on the island. Pizza was awesome as always, love the thin crust and topping options. Spaghetti with meatballs also good. Side salad was boring. 1 cucumber, 1 olive and lettuce. But always a favorite dining spot when visiting Sanibel Island. Our first meal, we had Adriana as our server. 5 star service, so friendly and accommodating to our party of 7, which included 2 small children.

We were greeted by our server Adriana. She was great. We were served by her on previous visits. This restaurant has been a must do on our list for all our 11 years visiting Sanibel. Sadly it is closing to be another Italian restaurant. Hopefully we can visit it when it opens on our next visit in 2022. But to sum it up we have enjoyed the Matzaluna and all its staff and all the good food they have served us.
