Good. Rich. Not quite as thick as some but thick enough.

This has got to be one of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. I always check to see if it has re-opened but sadly it has not. I hope they can restore the place and are back in business soon. Miss you guys!

Best ice cream ever! I really hope they can rebuild after the hurricane. Miss this place when I visit Florida.

Sooooooo good! Staff was awesome & location was easy to get in & out of. Ice cream was phenomenal. Make time for a stop! Bakery and coffee was also outstanding. We stopped in 4 of the 6 days we were on the island. (That was everyday once we discovered them!)

Crowded with a good selection of ice creams. The ice cream had good flavor, but a bit soft which means you have to eat it quickly in the heat. I assume they were having trouble due to the volume of customers.

So fun after a hot bike ride! Hit the spot with yummy ice cream listening to great music out side and lots of seats on the porch in the front of it and has a lot of good ice cream choices and had chocolates and more good stuff and the staff where nice and it was a very well priced. Best ice cream on Sanibel!

Convenient location at the Southern end of Sanibel near the lighthouse park area. The young man working was very pleasant. They have a wide variety of delicious flavours and the prices are what one might expect to pay on the (tourist) resort driven island. A cute little shop to have good ice cream. We would stop again for sure.

Need ice cream in your life...then pay a visit to this little treasure on Sanibel Island especially if you just came from the beach after shelling or sunbathing or from Lighthouse Point you'll definitely be glad you did. It's without a doubt an Island favorite to beat the heat...If you get one of the waffle cones, make sure you grab plenty of napkins.

Smallest ice cream cone ever for $6.95. The employee said there was no such thing as a single scoop or double scoop it went by flavor which made no sense. The ice cream was not pushed down into the cone. Felt like I got ripped off.

In spite of the previous ice cream business (Pinocchio's) shipping out of this same exact spot and making way for the current Sanibel's Best, it's truly nostalgia for us to come here and support even with a brand new owner in its place. This is the neighborhood ice cream joint you'd want to come to. There's enough seating and tables on the porch to enjoy your ice cream. Just be mindful that tables will probably be dirty. I was a bit skeptical- but their Yelp pictures alone, instantly brought us here close to 9pm on a Friday to enjoy some of the genius flavors these folks have going on. My strawberry ice cream (forgot the 'creative' name) was very good and creamy with strawberry chunks in it and the waffle bowl was also fresh. Hubs' Cherry sorbet scoop was nicely packed with cherry chunks and his Raspberry-Lemon scoop tasted wonderful. Service is pleasant and the young folks behind the counter will oblige with any ice cream requests you have. However you look at it, Sanibel's Best Homemade Ice Cream is doing something different and the ice cream here is as fresh as can be.

This place would be better if the servers wore gloves or washed their hands before grabbing your cone with their bare hands and pushing your shell chocolate on top with their unclean hands. Or at the very least grabbing your cone with the paper they wrap it after they touch the cone. The girls touched their computer screens , cards and their faces/hair.

Fantastic, fun and friendly staff with amazingly delicious ice cream and baked goods. It hits the spot. Also, a little spot to play some video games and stay out of the hot sun while eating your delicious treat. Fun for the family.

The staff is friendly and the area is nice. We ordered a couple of vegan ice cream sandwiches and they were delicious. The ice cream wasn’t overly sweet and the cookie was great. I appreciate that the cookies were not soggy. They were thin - but were chewy and a bit crispy. We both liked that the cookies had chocolate chunks versus chips. It tasted better this way and wasn’t overly chocolatey either.

You could really tell how good this place is by its ratings and 4000+ reviews. Nice staff and delicious ice cream. Salted Oreo seems to be a fan favorite and I really liked it too! Blueberry shortcake could’ve had more blueberry flavor but overall not too bad at all. Will be back to try the rest of their menu! ❤️?

Best ice cream around! Cutest building. Loved the details of everything. Ice cream is probably a little pricier than other places might be. Several unique flavors & unique atmosphere. I tried the honey almond & it was delicious!! Tons of tables to sit at. Definitely make this a stop on your list if you’re traveling through! It won’t disappoint.
