Unfortunately hurricane Ian tore this place up and it’s currently closed. I pray that they’re able to reopen because this place is such a hidden gem! They make the best double dog you’ve ever had, and the fries are delicious. Get a double with chili, mustard and onions and you won’t be disappointed. If that isn’t your favorite combo they have other things too.

The food was delicious. Chili dog, Cheeseburger, onion rings and fries were all fabulous. Super fast service, clean, cute atmosphere. Definitely coming back!! Update: Went back next day. Grouper sandwich for lunch was yummy and the grilled chicken sandwich for dinner later was great. Ice cream was fabulous. Our new favorite place to eat on the island!

Food was ok. It is hard to com,pare a hotdog there coming from Chicago where they are really good. Service was ok. Eating outside. Worse part was, one handoivcap spot, and owner parked there with no tag and didnt see a problem with it. Being handicapped i had a problem with it. Would we stop again? no food wasnt worth another stop

An Sanibel island classic. Superb hot dogs, burgers, wings, fish, etc. Fries and onion rings are fresh and tasty. Cashier was exceedingly pleasant and very helpful assisting me to choose from the large menu. Highly recommended.

I had been searching unsuccessfully for great burgers and dogs since I moved to SW Florida from North Carolina two years ago. After trying dozens of places, the search has finally ended. Finding a place where you can even get chili on a burger down here is almost impossible so when I saw Schnapper's had Carolina style on the menu, I had to stop in.The cheeseburger and hot dog each with mustard, chili, slaw and onions reminded me of my favorite spot back home and the hand cut and breaded onion rings were amazing. I was too full for ice cream, but I will be going back again... and again... so there will be plenty of time for that. The prices were reasonable also especially for a place on the island.

Absolutely amazing. Food is fresh, delicious, and made pretty quickly. Employees are extremely kind and helpful. They do accept apple pay which is a bonus. Will be making this my go to spot on the island. Love this place.

The hotdogs are good but not great. I really like an all beef dog but I don't think this was one. The fries were probably my favorite thing. What I really should have got was the onion rings. I saw them come out after I had already finished my food they looked like real homemade ones which are the best.

Honestly this place was a disappointment. First of all it's HOT in there. So visiting in August was miserable. Secondly this is mostly a to go place with no inside seating. Thirdly it was a pretty long wait for the food. The food was average at best. We got a chili dog and cheeseburger with fries. The fries were greasy. Unfortunately we won't be back.

I have to write a review. I've been coming to Schnappers for quite a few years now. I get their Grouper Sandwich every time I come to the island. Sometimes several times a week. It's hands down the best grouper sandwich on the island, maybe even Florida, dare I say the world? It's perfect. There isn't a close 2nd. Schnappers by a mile.
Gotta stop at Schnapper's! The BEST hot dogs. Try the Slawdog...killer. Don't expect linen napkins, table service or anything like that. Stand there and eat it like a man! Or sit at one of the picnic tables outside. Great food, great people, eat and please get out. Don't forget the icecream...they will sample every flavor for you. Brown Butter Bourbon?! Yes please! Absolutely a favorite haunt of ours for decades. Oh Boy!

I've picked up food from this place at least a 100 times over the last 15 years but today will be the last time. Food was the the best, as usual, but the restaurant has now turned into a politics party. They sell a "We Don't Speak Mask" shirt there. How about you go tell both of my grandparents who died of Covid that? How about you tell the million people who died of Covid that you don't "speak mask?" I pray your restaurant meets the same demise as those people.

First visit to Schnapper’s Hots for late lunch today. This restaurant has no indoor seating, they have a couple of standing counters to eat indoors. All seating is outside.We ordered a chili dog ($5.25), Grandma Kramer ($4.75), original ($5.25), cheeseburger ($8.85), medium fry ($3.95) and we went back after we ate for ice cream. The hotdogs were tasty but also have natural casings which my husband hates. It’s nice they also have burgers so he was happy. The hot dogs are tasty but I wasn’t a fan of the chili. While it’s doesn’t have beans which is perfect, it was more spicy than I feel it needs to be. Not kid friendly chili. The hot dogs are typical sized so unless you have a small appetite, you should order at least two. The burger was pretty good and the fries were awesome.They offer about 40 different flavors of ice creams also in some fun flavors. They offer both shakes and malts.
