Basmati's Asian Cuisine

This was a great restaurant. Service was wonderful although they were really busy when we came so the food was slow. I did have better sushi (at Old Florida Fish House) but it was still good and our fish was wonderful as was the salad. I would absolutely not miss the fried rice. It was spectacular. Our server tried to talk us into a half portion and we didn't listen. Get the half portion. I don't know a scenario in which you'd get the full portion. Lol Great meal!

These guys were so rude. I called to make a to go order for sushi and he was mad we were calling. He didn’t even put me on hold, he put the phone completely down without muting, maybe so we couldn’t call back. Do not recommend due to service!

Absolutely try this place out! The Duck and Snapper were both perfect. The Blue Crab sushi was FRESH!

Our waitress was quick and provided 5* star service. Best food I have had in 30A and better than 99% of Miami restaurants!

Super cute vibes, especially outside. Inside of the restaurant is very tight and can be a little claustrophobic. The tables are basically touching so maybe it’s better for a smaller more intimate dinner. The services was okay, not super friendly. And the food was also just okay but very expensive for what you get.

This place was a great find! We tried various different dishes and all were full of flavor and very good. Chicken fried rice was so full of chicken and vegetables- so good. Sushi was also full of flavor. We’ll definitely be back.

I have never experienced such a disappointing experience. However The hostess was friendly and seated us quickly. Water was immediately brought to our table. And then there was the server. He took our appetizer order and our drink order. Both were served within reasonable time. We put our order in for three sushi rolls, and I said that’s what we’ll start with and we will probably order more later. He promptly informed us that was not acceptable. He told us if we ordered more rolls it would be a very long time to get served. I’ve been to many restaurants over the years. I’ve never been treated so poorly. We ordered three rolls and dumplings. We had two small children with us. They typically love dumplings, the dumplings were not prepared properly. The Server never asked us if we wanted to refill our drinks and it seemed he couldn’t wait for us to leave. If we were allowed to order more. We probably would’ve spent $200-$250 if they treat every customer like that I would say they’re losing a lot of revenue. I will never return to this establishment.

We went to Basmati's twice in this trip to the Emerald Coast.The first visit was better. Our server was outstanding, and the sushi rolls we ordered were tasty and well executed.The seaweed salad was fresh both days.One thing that caught my attention is the name. Many of their plates come with Jasmine rice, none as far as I remember with Basmati rice.We were pleased with our experiences and we will be back in the fall.

Basmatis was recommended to us by a few folks and we thought we’d check it out. Plenty of gravel parking out front and we were sat immediately for our reservation. Reservation is not required and there was plenty of seating for walks ins. Overall, I’d recommend the Caesar, Red Dragon sushi roll and red snapper dish. The rest of our meal was sub par. Our server, Jesse, was great and knew his stuff. I would have given more stars if the restaurant had more space and the sushi was better prepared.

Good food, great service, outstanding vibe--the patio area was cool and everyone was happy. They even brought the toddler strawberries which is one of the few things she'll actually eat! Upscale and great for couples.
