Bayou Bill's Crab House

We went here last night 6.19.25 & Paris was our waitress and she went above and beyond. This place was packed from the moment it opened, we were her first night table of 12& she instantly had a bigger table of 15 and she handled both with grace and the most professionalism! We will 100% be back because of the food and Paris! Also, the food was so amazing. Great portion sizes! Outside there is a pool full of alligators that you can look at while you wait!

The mongchong (fish) was so good! The salad and pizza too!

Nice surprise. Locals recommend this restaurant and it was good. Took 11 people and they accommodated nicely. Greatest were nice, server excellent and food was really good. Grouper special over grits was amazing. Crab cakes were good. Very enjoyable meal. Open on Sunday night.

The shrimp and corn soup was delicious but the steamed blue crabs were disappointing. They appeared to have been steamed without the top shell and were very dry and tasteless. For the price I was quite disappointed in them

Our group kept changing our minds about where to go to have dinner that night. Once we came across Bayou Bill's, we knew that's where we had to go. All 6 of us enjoyed everything so much, most of us ordered am extra dish just to try it! A really good experience overall. When we return to Sandestin, we're definitely going back for exceptional seafood!

My food was fine. I don't eat seafood, so, based on the limited choices I had left, it was fine, not all that, but fine. My waiter was friendly, she was a little over stimulated but she was friendly. She actually handled our area very well. She had blonde hair, wore glasses, and had a ponytail. The atmosphere gave me sports bar vibes mixed with an outdoor porch. It was a little confusing as to what they were trying to go with, as far as the theme of the restaurant. 🤔 The marketing team may need to rethink the entire theme and name as a whole. They also are not a group accommodating establishment, and if they want to be, they need to be very specific online and maybe over the phone so that the expectation is known prior to booking a party or seating a party. Proper customer service training also needs to happen amongst staff when dealing with customers of all ages, genders, ethnicities, language barriers, different backgrounds, and more. Also, when or if something happens, your staff(specifically the young lady with the dark hair bob)needs to know how to be proactive because they did not treat part of our group well at all when part of an issue arised. You would have thought some sort of management would have came over to rectify the situation until everything was resolved, but they just left the poor waitresses out to hang and dry alone. Which is why I said staff training needs to happen, management included.

Our server was Mike, and he was so sweet! All the food was incredible. We had the blue crab dip, volcano sushi roll, chargrilled oysters, crab and shrimp boil, and fresh catch of the day. A great dinner on our vacation!

Far exceeded our expectations! The gumbo was a superb start! I had blackened mahi mahi for dinner, which was excellent; and the hubs had crab claws and a side salad. He was very pleased, as well. And if you like hushpuppies, you'll love these. We'll be back!

We enjoyed our meal at Bayou Bill's. We started with the Crab and Corn Bisque and then shared the Blue Crab and Fried Shimp with Crab Cakes platter.
The C&CB was excellent! Creamy and savory with a touch of spiciness. It had plenty of crab meat. The Crab Cakes and Shrimp were good; nothing above average for the area. The Blue Crab were tiny, and so eating them was almost more trouble than their worth. They still tasted good and were steamed properly to remain appropriatly soft. All in all, it was a pleasant experience. The Crab and Corn Bisque is certainly worth returning for!

This place is absolutely awful! Overpriced!!!! The food is not fresh. Ribs taste like they were frozen for a month then microwaved and served. The seafood is not fresh at all. It all taste bad, and bland. And if it isn't bland then it is super overly salted or even burned. and the ribeye no matter how you order is tough and rubbery. The staff is rude, unprofessional, even the manager was not nice to us at all. I had a big group with us and they charged everyone the same price even though we all ordered different things.
They charge 18% gratuity no matter how lousy the service is. The staff knows they get tips no matter what. So they make sure to let you know that they don't give a damn if you're satisfied or not. The absolute worst dining experience I ever had I had in my whole life.

SAVE YOURSELF, YOUR MONEY AND ALL THAT YOU LOVE AND NEVER EVER DINE HERE!!!!
