Great little restaurant. Great food and service. This is my wife’s favorite place to eat in the panhandle. This is a hidden gem.

Great food, my dad said the reuben was the best he's ever had. The tuna was fresh and the bread sides were really good too. The inside atmosphere is nothing special but the patio is really cute.

Chanticleer eatery is a hidden gem in Grayton beach. My family has been coming to the area for years and had never heard of this restaurant. We dined on a Tuesday evening during fall break and were surprised when we showed up and the restaurant was nearly empty - don’t let that fool you! The service, food, and experience was wonderful. Our server, Zach, was attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is very casual, both inside and on the patio. It is excellent for families with young children. Our food was very good, the salads with homemade ranch was divine, the jambalaya, and Cajun pasta were also hits. The catch of the day and gulf shrimp were fresh, and not over cooked. The kids menu pulled pork may have stolen the show however! Would highly recommend Chanticleer for a low key, casual, kid friendly and delicious experience!

We ordered the Cobb salad, calamari, and southern summer salad along with a side order of sweet potato fries. The salads were hugh and fresh. Sweet pot fries were amazing and crisp. The calamari was cut too thick and was our least favorite dish. Presentation and service was excellent and sitting outside was so pleasant. I would definitely return.

This is a really great spot to get something to eat. I really can't wait to come back and try some more items on the menu because what we had was amazing.

The place is very easy to find and there is plenty of parking. We sat outside which was a lovely place to sit and talk. It wasn't too loud.

I had the grilled cheese. My partner had the biggest Ruben sandwich that I've ever seen in my life. The sweet potato fries were very tasty and some of the best that I've had recently. The food really was very good. And the service was also very good. We'll definitely be back. Thank you

Decent place to eat. Our waitress Kimberly was fantastic. She's great management material and was a fantastic host during our visit. Food wasn't too bad. Not the best quality for the price but still tasty. Good one time visit type of place. Make sure you have Kimberly as your server!

Just hard lunch last week with Friends. Ordered the Pick Two (half a sandwich and salad). On the Menu the Whole Plain Jane Grilled Cheese is $16, add Ham it is $18. I would think if I ordered the Half a Sandwich and added ham it would be $1 more. Nope, my receipt says Add Ham $4. So, for half the sandwich it is twice as much. Not sure what is going on here, but I feel completely duped. I didn't say anything at the table as I was with others and didn't want to make it an issue.

Chicken Caesar salad was delicious. No croutons but dressing was the right amount. BUT BEWARE LOCALS…. You get a 20% gratuity fee PLUS A TAKE OUT FEE on your salad. Just not good business!

Waited at the front to be seated for 10 minutes but no one was there, plenty of seats available so they weren't that busy. Left disappointed

We absolutely love Chanticleer. We go atleast once, if not twice during our stay every year. Our favorite dishes are the crab cakes and the shrimp & grits. I would definitely recommend!

My family and I were searching for a place to eat when we stumbled upon Chanticleer. We briefly looked at the menu online and decided to give it a try. The hostess sat us immediately and the waiter was very friendly and helpful. He informed us that the restaurant was previously a bakery and the cookies were amazing. Another waiter had informed us that the lunch menu was entirely different. He also told us that the restaurant makes all its own breads and the Reuben, in particular, was amazing.
The restaurant had a bar and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. The tables were decorated with hand-painted art. The walls were adorned with wonderful pictures of the local landscape. The bathrooms were very clean and they also had a family-friendly restroom.
We started with a couple of appetizers:
Calamari: The calamari appeared to be hand breaded and was very tender. The aioli dipping sauce was tasty and bright. I wish the portion was a tad larger given the price.
Lobster Bisque: The portion was generous and the soup had a very good flavor. It was silky and rich. I felt it could have used a few large chunks of lobster meat.
For our dinners, we ordered the following:
Catch with Shrimp: The fish of the day was grouper. It came in a garlic butter sauce. The sauce was divine. The two does we chose were creamed spinach and cheese grits. The creamed spinach was our favorite. It was rich and flavorful. The cheese grits could have used a tad bit of cream or something to loosen them. By the time they arrived at our table, they had seized up a bit. They were very cheesy and tasty.
Caprese Salad: This dish was very good. The nut less pesto and balsamic reduction were very tasty. The only issues I had with the dish were as follows: The tomato slices needed to be about half as thick and needed salt and pepper. Also, ditch the lettuce. I found myself rummaging through the lettuce to get more of those wonderful sauces.
Side of Collard Greens: The greens were very tender and well-seasoned.
Krioyo Pasta: The pasta, shrimp, and sausage were cooked perfectly. The pasta wasn't over-sauced. The flavor of the rich and creamy sauce was amazing.
Tomato Basil Soup: The soup was a generous portion and very tasty, but I'm not sure it was worth the price. Admittedly, I'm not a fan of tomato Basil soups.

For dessert, we decided to try both varieties of cookies available. The first was a chocolate chip cookie. It was a chewy and delicious melty goodness. The second was a white chocolate and coconut cookie. Man, this was easily my favorite. The coconut flavor was strong and the cookie was chewy and moist on the inside. It was absolutely delicious!

The one thing that really disappointed me was seeing the almost $8 credit card fee.

We come to visit this area once a year and this restaurant is definitely on our list to revisit. I'm still trying to twist my wife's arm into allowing us to come for lunch before we depart!

What a shock!! I Used to love this place . The other day I Got tomato soup to go for my husband and me and was speechless when i opened the containers. Not even 1 cup of soup per order. I measured them and they were alittle less than 3/4 cup. Didn’t even fill a Small soup bowl! The serving used to be so big my husband and i could share an order. Not now, and price has gone up!! AND to add insult to injury, they charge $1 per item for to go items and an 18% tip. I’m sorry but i thought i decided how much tip i leave. And $1 per item that’s Togo? Are you kidding me? Don’t make your customers pay your employees wages. Pay them more and let customers decide what gratuity they want to leave!! I’m so sad that i won’t be going back! I really loved that place!
