Chef’s Bistro 30A

We ate here last weekend. Had the filet Oscar & duck fat ribeye. Both meals were absolutely incredible! Best meal we’ve had in a long time. This local is definitely visiting more frequently. Family run business with comfy decor and just the right amount of music so you could hear each other while enjoying great wine!

Absolutely delicious! You will not regret coming hear for breakfast, lunch or dinner!!

I'm going to use this review to cover 3 of my recent orders at Chef's.First, the Jerk Chicken Skewer appetizer. The chicken was flovorful with a solid jerk chicken flavor. The two skewers were served in a perfect presentation and were delicious.A second recent order was for the seafood enchiladas. Stuffed with well seasoned selections of fresh seafood and served with beans and rice, this was a wonderful meal.My most recent order was a variation on the sea bass he was offering. I asked for a lighter version for an early dinner, which he accommodated with a lightly seasoned grilled fish cooked perfectly, jasmine rice and vegetables. It was perfectly balanced and delicious.All of Chef's offerings are plated in a presentation that accents the dish and demonstrates the careful and thoughtful preparation that goes into every meal. I have had only outstanding experience with Chef Justin and his kitchen team as well as those in the front. I have enjoyed every bite of every meal and will continue to return as often as my schedule allows. Keep up the great work!

Food: My wife ordered a salad and it was basically a bag of spinach from Walmart dumped on a plate with shredded cheese and carrots. NO lettuce at all, she didn't like it and didn't eat all of it.I ordered the Jerk Chicken meal, the chicken had no jerk seasoning at all! I've have jerk chicken from Jamaica and this was not jerk chicken. It tasted more like teriyaki mustard. My rice was full of cranberries and carrots, I couldn't understand why? It was horrible, the plantains weren't caramelized. The only good thing on my plate were the greens.Time: The food took way to long and some customers gave up and left.Drinks: Our drinks came in 24ounce plastic bottles, like they came from Walmart.Price: It was way over priced, they are asking premium prices for sub-par food.Atmosphere: No music, no TVsServer: we were served by a young girl who was very kind and hard working.Overview: A bad restaurant taking advantage of the fact that there are little food options in this area. The prices are way to high because they know the people in this area can afford to pay but it's not worth it.I've had better food at a hospital.

This restaurant should be on your number one list of breakfast places to eat when you come to Santa Rosa Beach. The food was amazing, you could taste the freshness in every bite. Thanks to Chef Calvin for such a lovely breakfast and Tasha for her great customer service. I will definitely come back and will recommend friends and family to this bistro.
