- [ ] Dined here on the 22nd of March. As a 15 year resident we have dined here several times over the years with mixed experiences. We mainly don’t go often because it’s like eating in a sauna. The indoor dining room is an open space connected to the kitchen and it’s hot. In fact, if you need to use the bathroom, you literally walk through the kitchen. The dining area is ringed by discarded inoperable food display equipment. All considered, we came back because they usually have some decent features and their bread is really good. “Kim” seems to run everything, albeit not very well. Even though it was 68 degrees outside it was pushing 80 degrees inside, which seems to be the norm. Either they don’t have the ability to cool the dining area properly because of the layout, or they lack the desire to fund the energy costs to do so. Due to a family emergency our dining experience was cut short. We got our Tiramisu desert to go. We decided to enjoy it a couple hours later. Unfortunately, there was a large shard of jagged plastic embedded in the dessert. We tried to call the restaurant to let them know, in the likely event there was a contamination in the batch, but they didn’t answer their phone despite multiple attempts. We got a txt several hours later and spoke on the phone with “Kim”. “Kim” was essentially insinuating we were trying to get “free” items since we sent her a picture of the plastic shard and she couldn’t understand how it was so “clean” We explained we cleaned it off after I took it out of my mouth to show what it was and we didn’t want anything. We told her if she wanted she could give us a desert credit next time we visited. Our main concern was that no one else potentially ingest this and that they need to answer their phone during business hours. After admitting what we already knew, which was they don’t make their own deserts and have zero knowledge or control over the quality “Kim” became indignant and rude and further accusatory. For these reasons, we recommend dining elsewhere. In our opinion, there are plenty of other great restaurants in SRB. All have working air conditioning, as well as a more organized, secure, friendlier and competent staff, that offer a better dining experience.

The Cioppino was spectacular! Large sized scallops and jumbo shrimps. Wow! Tomato based broth was so comforting. Kim the owner was kind and welcoming. This is a small restaurant. I was half way sitting in the kitchen it felt like but it was so inviting I didn't mine since I was there alone. Definitely would recommend getting a reservation for more than 3 guest. The restaurant got crowded quick. No paper menu--Kim comes to your table and tells you what's on the menu for the night. You can tell she loves her job and does a wonderful job at it!

Amazing food, owner is THE best. Chicken parm is my favorite. Loud inside but after byob, got used to it. Call for a reservation.

Food was good but price was higher than expected based on on-line menus. No menu is used at Crust as the owner/hostess tells what the offerings are but does not mention. the price. Service was acceptable and the ambiance is non-existent.

Had a very good meal at Crust; Kim was amazing at being host, server, verbal menu storyteller and more. The gnocchi was so light and delicious, and the portions are huge: the lasagna and the Sunday gravy are easily two meals. Everything she told us sounded delicious, will be making a return visit for sure. It’s also BYOD so bring a couple of bottles of wine for a group.

Still the best place. Just got back from Italy. Had fresh gnocchi in Milan. Try Crusts. It will take you there. Maybe better. Really everything on the menu is good. Disregard the unassuming location. Come to enjoy good food.

Make a reservation and bring your favorite bottle of wine or cocktail....you will enjoy everything about this place! The food is great. The menu changes so be ready for an adventure. Get the Burrata- try everything, it is all amazing!

Terrible experience here. Dinner got screwed up after a long wait. Food was average at best, Then told we couldn’t order dessert except to take home. Basically the owner kicked us out so she could turn the table in an over booked restaurant. Offered a flimsy apology. Said she would make it up to us next time. Guess what? There won’t be a next time. There are waaay better places to eat in Santa Rosa Beach!

We just happened to come across this restaurant and so happy we did! The food is amazing and we love that there is no paper menu - instead the owner tells you what they have for each course. It is just an awesome place that is different than your regular, run of the mill restaurants!

Excellent experience! Great service. Hard to get reservations. Small dining space. Sit in the kitchen if you can. Can’t wait to come back…oh and you can bring your own wine!

Best hole in the wall in town. Everything on the menu is amazing, lasagna is to die for. And it was the best veal chop I've ever had
