Staff was friendly & helpful. Food had big portions, but average quality & flavor. There really is no "atmosphere" to speak of. It's kind of a fish shack for very casual food. There are many better quality fish restaurants in the area, unless you're looking for big portions and not looking for sophisticated flavors. Sauces are prepackaged where you peel off the top like catsup containers, so nothing special. Plates are paper fry containers with tin forks. Don't bring a "date" unless you're looking to break up with her. ?Prices are reasonable for what you get. We had the coconut shrimp, cheese bites, salads, and grouper for appetizers; and grilled shrimp & crab, chicken strips, and fish tacos as entrees with 2 sodas and the tab was about $200 including tip. All dishes were OK, but nothing special to come back for. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here if I were visiting the area.
Parking: There was plenty of parking, given there weren't many people in the restaurant.
My wife and I both had the fried grouper sandwich. We are pretty easy to please, but the grouper was heavy on the salt. I was able to finish mine, but she wasn’t. It comes on a large French roll. It needs to be on a smaller bun or bread. It gets lost on such a large roll. The service was excellent. Beer was reasonable, but I didn’t care for it in a plastic cup.
We liked the atmosphere, but it seems more bar to go have a beer and couple of appetizers than restaurant. Average alligator balls for an appetizer. Brad can have "Brad's Sandwich" as it simply wasn't good. The Grouper sandwich and salad were below average for the area.
We’ve been coming to Elmo’s for years and it never disappoints. Their cheese curds are great to start with, their crab legs are perfect, the steamers are delicious and their blackened shrimp is my absolute favorite! They recently remodeled the inside so it’s nice and cool during the summer now! They also usually have a live band and the atmosphere is great!
Best seafood value on 30a. The Buffalo Shrimp is the BEST. We always get the A La Carte Feast. It's enough food for 2-3 people. You won't be disappointed.
Went in and almost left because the First Lady we met was a little rude. But we stayed. And sooooo glad we did. The food was amazing. The steamer I had was three lobster tails, crab legs, shrimp, potatoes and corn. So worth it!! My husband had the surf and turf. Amazing!! Kids loved their food. The cheese curds were great! It’s a great local place , which I love to support. As we we’re leaving , we met the owner and he was extremely nice. I recommend this restaurant and will definitely be visiting often!!Good job Brad! Keep up the great work! Hang in there.
Enjoyed out meal last night. Got right in which is kind of unusual but we arrived earlier than the normal crowds. Everyone had a different plate and everything was very good. Thanks for the good service!
Went to Florida on vacation and decided to try out this place. It was really good but the fried fish, shrimp and fries were really greasy. Other than that it was good.
We took our party of 13 at approximately 5pm and was seated immediately. All meals were amazing. I would recommend the shrimp trio but everything was good. Service is also excellent. I would suggest that you plan to arrive early because when we left at about 6pm the line to be seated was out the door.
Elmo’s Grill is the place to go for a great seafood dinner. A great, local seafood dive. Our table split 2 a la carte seafood feasts. It was delicioussssss. The kid’s corn dogs were good, too. The seafood feast was just incredible-tasting food and I finally got a sweet enough sweet tea for the first time since we’ve been down here on vacation. For the quantity, the a la carte seafood feast is a banging deal. The New York strip was so tender and flavorful. Good customer service, as well. If you like seafood, you can’t pass this place up. No matter what you order, you can’t go wrong here.

Someone told me the fried shrimp was great here, so my family stopped in for dinner. My older boy got the all-you-can-eat fried shrimp and absolutely loved it. My younger boy got a burger and fries and loved it too. We also tried the local catch, fried pickles, and peel and eat shrimp. It was all perfectly cooked, and the cole slaw was great too! This is definitely on our list of great places to go!
This place would have to be one of the best places I have ever eaten at. The waiter was super friendly and answered all of our questions. Our orders were all correct and were swiftly delivered to our table. One of our orders was accidentally picked up by another waiter but our order was quickly remade and brought to our table. The food was fantastic and the fries were wonderful. I could go on forever about how amazing my experience here was. Customer service was top tier and even the entertainment was good. Would highly recommend taking family and or friends here to eat. Also of note they have great pricing/deals on certain meals.
If I’m being honest, the food was kind of mid. I had the shrimp platter and an appetizer of cheese curds. The shrimp wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. As for the fries, they were objectively below average (not crispy and a bit soggy). Then, we come to the cheese curds which were also just ok. average. (culver’s has better cheese curds). I wouldn’t recommend this place, but I would also not advise against eating there. Food was not worth the price.
Last night my husband and I went to Elmo’s Grill for the first time and loved it! The food was delicious and the restaurant itself made for a good time. I don’t know if they have live music every night but they did last night and it added to the experience. Our waiter was very attentive to our table which made us feel well taken care of. Definitely will be back in the future!
Wow, this was such a great place! An amazing hole in the wall kind of place! After being in Destin for almost two weeks I regret not coming here sooner!! The service was great! Our server Andy was such a doll! The ultimate boil was outstanding with 3 lobster tail a half pound of shrimp and snow crabs legs with corn and butter! And the key lime pie was also amazing! So worth it and for sure the best dinner we have had around the area ❤️
