This is not like Krispy Kreme. Do not roll up thinking you’ll get a couple dozen for the family. One, maybe two apiece will be more than enough. These are big, inventive donuts that will leave you satisfied. They have taken the cronut concept and and amplified it with a number of flavors and frostings and yummy goodness. Eat this.

Enjoyed a delicious doughnut on Wednesday but was very disappointed when we returned before 9 pm on Thursday to find you closed

I'd first seen this place on the Travel Channel and thought when I make a visit to Nashville in the near future, I'd have to go. Little did I know I'd find a Five Daughters in coastal Florida. Surprise! Well, let's be real. These donuts ain't cheap. $5 a pop is a lot, but the quality is so much better than your standard generic. These donuts have the interior of croissants, with those multiple layers of soft flakiness. There is so much love put into them. Throw in some cinnamon sugar or vanilla glaze on the outside and you've got something really special. Four donuts, a milk, and a coffee cost $29. It's pretty obscene, but you do get what you pay for. It's worth the indulgence, even for only one visit.

I had always wanted to try the cronut from the original five daughters bakery location in Nashville, yet never had the time! Therefore, I was extremely excited when I saw they had an airstream in Seaside square! They offer various kinds of cronuts, including seasonal specials. I chose the chocolate glazed cronut with chocolate filling. It was definitely one of the best pastries I have ever had! The cronut was extremely sweet and filling, yet definitely left me wanting more!!

Tried five daughters for the first time a month ago and I have to stay these donuts are really good. If you are staying on 30A you definitely need to come here. Just a heads up, these donuts are a little pricey but worth it!

The donuts were very expensive and weren't fresh but they were good. Service wasn't bad but it wasn't much wow factor.

Where do I start? A hundred layer donut! I had the salted milk chocolate and it was delicious! Buttery flaky layers with rich chocolate cream filling, topped with a ganache type frosting. The donuts are a little pricy at $5 each but it's really more of a dessert. Look for the airstream in Seaside square area. You can thank me later.

For as famous as Five Daughters is around here, I guess I was expecting more. I am a baker- I own a bakery and bake a ton of breads, pastries, and cakes- so perhaps my expectations are different than an others. The doughnuts are *very* oily. When I bit into it, the flavors that came through were oil and sugar, rather than yeast or strawberry as I was expecting. The feeling it left in my mouth was... Soggy. Because of the heaviness of the oil, I decided to try the cinnamon roll instead, and found it lighter and fluffier, but completely lacking flavor. It was topped with orange glaze and while I did see the zest, I didn't actually taste any glaze at all. When you pay $39 for donuts, you expect something beyond what you get at a regular donuts chain. This, to me, was not at the "craft bakery" level.

This wasn't just a bakery or a donut shop. This was an experience. Absolutely incredible chocolate buttercream salted I don't even know what. Wish I had gotten a dozen!! Amazing.

Fantastic donuts, great location. But the price alone take it down to 3 stars. $5 per donut is wayyyyyy to expensive, even for the beach.

The donuts are unbeatable. And the story behind the brand is great: love in 100 layers, family, warmth, southern hospitality. I wish the person working in the airstream on 30A this morning conveyed that same spirit, but she didn't. I'm sure she's a nice person but she gave no smile, no greeting, no warmth. Inconsistent with the brand and story. It was just another donut.
