We stayed in the woodpecker cottage after our wedding and it was perfect. Great location, great size for two, and great price. I wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely stay here again. The included breakfast was delicious too!

Walkability: Close to AJs bar and a little shopping center.

We love to go on Sunday for fried chicken and live music on the patio.

Perfect place for a quick trip. Best spot to hang out and tons of options walking distance nearby. The Hibiscus was the perfect location and convenient. Loved it!

Hibiscus room was a large and comfortable room. I think an upgrade on the sheets would be good. Breakfast fantastic. Wonderful setting for a walk. Beach gorgeous. Everyone needs to eat at The Red Barn. Portions are huge. We split one. It can get very busy.
Loved our little get away and would return.

We stayed in the Woodpecker cottage. It was great, very clean and private. Loved the screened in porch. Will definitely return.

Safety: I felt very safe there

First time staying at Hibiscus. The room was nicely kempt, AC very good, bed comfy, not noisy, best part was the breakfast from the on site restaurant, Raw and Juicy. Super nice staff and the food was delicious.

Nearby activities: Short walk to restaurants and the beach but there's a shuttle you can take if it's too hot.

My wife and I had a perfect getaway weekend for our anniversary. The room was as cozy as we could hope for, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was on point both mornings and the location couldn’t be beat. We definitely plan to return.

Longleaf Writers Conference at Seaside, Florida

Ya'll this is the best guesthouse/B&B type place on 30a. The location is amazing, the rooms and backyard garden are beautiful - and now they have Raw & Juicy doing the food! If you haven't been to Raw & Juicy check it out for fresh, healthy food options - at Hibiscus or at their other locations. Hibiscus Guesthouse has been a sponsor of our local educational outreach program for almost 10 years, donating time, space, and materials for our volunteers. These are good people. The Longleaf Writers Conference loves Hibiscus Guesthouse!

Since 2011, Hibiscus Guest House has been our cherished haven every time we venture to the enchanting 30A area. The hotel staff, with their unwavering warmth, friendliness, and eagerness to cater to our needs, have made each stay a true delight. Hibiscus holds a special corner in our hearts, just as it does for countless others who have graced its welcoming embrace over the years.

Oh, the memories of waffle wonders, egg frittatas, and biscuits & gravy linger fondly in our minds. With the arrival of new management at the guest house cafe, offering most breakfast menu items inclusive for house guests (excluding specialty drinks), we eagerly anticipate new culinary adventures while cherishing the familiar flavors of the past.

While some of the guest rooms may benefit from a touch of upkeep to maintain their timeless charm, the overall allure of this beautiful and nostalgic place remains unwavering. Hibiscus Guest House continues to be our go-to sanctuary for vacation stays, a place where we can unwind and reconnect with the essence of tranquility.

As we eagerly await each return to this beloved retreat, we do so with hearts full of gratitude and anticipation, knowing that with each visit, Hibiscus Guest House has the potential to become even more extraordinary, weaving its magic into our cherished memories once again.

Walkability: Walking distance to restaurants, bars and beach access.

Food & drinks: Guest house has a cafe attached which used to be managed by the guest house but beginning of 2024 it was managed by Raw & Juicy.

Coffee and breakfast staff don’t have basic manners. Left a nice tip for 3 coffees too, management clearly doesn’t care if staff is not friendly and welcoming.

It is a wonderful location. The room was clean and quite, we are only in the room to shower and sleep. The cafe had excellent breakfast. We found dinner right around the corner. Walk the beach half mile away or take trolley for a short ride. Many hikes/bikes/running trails available in walking distance.
