New Restaurants in Santa Rosa Beach

“We had a lovely dinner at M&P this week. We are local and the experience you’ll have here is fun and different than any other restaurant in the area. Be prepared to be “wowed” and also to spend $$$$ (appropriately so).We especially loved the caviar tater tot and Alaskan halibut with collard greens. The crispy chicken skin on the sous vide chicken and gnocchi was sublime! I wasn’t able to enjoy the pre-fixe dessert due to dietary constraints, but my husband said the carrot cake was one of the best he’s ever had. Servings are a pinch small, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I do think there should be a server specifically dedicated to taking care of alcohol refills. We don’t drink, but we did have to ask for more water several times.It’ll be awesome to see this place grow and become even better with time. I’d LOVE to see menu offerings that extend beyond the Omakaze set, as well as earlier seating times. Outdoor dining as a seasonal option might be nice later on.The entire dinner presentation is just under 3 hours long as of Feb 2024. I believe it was 7-8 total courses, including palate cleanser and digestif tea.The vibe is romantic and refined, but not stuffy. All of the staff were friendly and seemed to want to please their guests overall. They were also able to accommodate for my allergy needs — just make sure to call in advance!I do look forward to my next visit, as M&P continues to bloom.Dietary restrictions: They’re still working this out to a high standard, but they can accommodate. “We are so happy to have this new restaurant within walking distance of our home. Cooper, the bartender and our server, was amazing and the best server we have had in a very long time. The food was equally as good as were the drinks. I highly recommend this restaurant and the fungi quesadilla, taco salad and chicken tinga tacos.“
