Great chef driven menu, casual and super friendly service, ok wine. I had the top wine pairing and I thought it underwhelmed for the price. I'd love to see them showcase what the flight pairing selections are upfront so that I can make a more informed decision next time. That said, the food was delicious! will be back.

Absolutely amazing food with no pretension. Staff was friendly and kind.Vegetarian options: One person in our party didn't eat red meat and the kitchen pivoted quickly to give her an appropriate choice.

Last night my husband and I went to roux 30A and it was the most mind blowing experience! Our waiter Kory greeted us at the door and had the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced. The food was phenomenal the chef would come over and explain every dish to us and even accommodated our onion allergy! The kindness we were shown and the entire atmosphere was amazing and we will be back again soon!

If I could leave 10 stars I would. I have been to a lot of fine dining restaurants in the past but this place out does them all, hands down. Not only are they overly accommodating from everything to when we could make our reservation to all of my food restrictions/preferences but they do it in such a way that you can't help but to feel special and want to tell everyone you know to go here for the best experience of their life.I honestly felt like some kind of celebrity and enjoyed every single second of the whole experience. Trust me, you need to go here if at all possible so that you can check it off your list, because you will NOT want to miss the experience at Roux 30A!!!

A truly unforgettable experience at Roux 30A. You almost feel like you’ve been whisked away to hidden family diner in France. The service was completely spectacular and the food was on point. My favorite was the fish dish but they were all amazing. There’s no way I could describe them as the chef did for every course, so I’m not going to try. Since the menu changes daily you will not WOWd no matter what. We did the wine pairing and it was all great, however it was a lot of wine.

I would give 4.5 stars if I could , but I can’t. I’m very VERY particular for giving 5 stars at fine dining. Our first time there last night and most everything was very tasty. We sat at the chefs bar with 2 other couples we did not know and the service was spectacular. Chef was super. Told us everything about what was going on, ingredients, resources, even some techniques!! There was one course that had me absolutely oohing and aaahhing- one of the tastiest things that has crossed my lips. Others were very good but not to that level. For me, the dessert was a bit disappointing- a mulled wine poached pear with granola over creamy Greek yogurt topped with just a couple drops of an amazing saffron infused honey. The pear was hard, there was not enough honey to give it overall sweetness. A miss. Overall, however, the ambience , the fun of it , the chef and souses- all terrific - it was a great evening’s and I’m already planning my next visit !

My wife and I visited Roux 30A in April 2023. It was one of those places where a 5 star review can't express how outstanding the experience was. Every plate was incredible: original, fresh, flavorful, using out of the ordinary ingredients and spices. Chef John Engle was fantastic, finished cooking each dish in front of us and explained every detail. We really enjoyed chatting with him. The wine pairing was great and extremely reasonably priced. My wife and I were blown away, and we keep talking about that night as one of the best dinning experiences we have ever had.

One of the best dining experiences we have EVER had. Far exceeded our expectations. The team puts exceptional care into the food and wine presentation and treats you like family. Can’t wait to enjoy another visit real soon.

Roux 30a is hands down the finest dining on the emerald coast. The food and wine pairing were second to none, and the service/interaction with the chef made for a dining experience like no other!

We have dined at Roux30A for the past three years - twice a year; but this would be our last visit. Unfortunately Roux30 has changed the business model of a intimate wine pairing single seating dinner with a host chef to a multi-seating total chaos chain restaurant - and regretfully at the same elevated pricing. We were never meet by the chef to explain our offerings - simple some 'cook' that said it has some fresh vegetables. The wine 'guy' poured red wine into our white wine glasses - and then offered us the same offering for the next pairing.I'm sure the new business model is profitable, as our visitors in 30A tend to spend more money than the economic conditions, but this once great experience is not just another restaurant along the roadside.

We were very excited to try Roux30A for a friend’s birthday celebration. We booked it 6 weeks in advance. Our experience was less than good. The good was good, but we’ve had better meals in the area. The staff moved us from a table, where we were seated, to the bar to accommodate another party that threatened to leave. We told them multiple times that we preferred a table so that we could talk as a group. We kept getting pushed. They tried to “make it to to us” by bringing us extra wine, but only brought 2 glasses, for 5 of us, egg h was really odd. Service wasn’t great, the presentation of the courses was awkward and while they said they comped our wine to apologize for the seating mishap, there was never an itemized receipt to even know the cost of our meal. The biggest kicker that made me realize I’d never be back was the suggested tips on the bottom of the check we’re manipulated by 1.5 times. It said 12%, but the calculation in dollars was really 18%, 15% was really 21% and 20% suggested dollar amount was 30%. Luckily I caught on, but I’ve never seen any restaurant do that before. Very crooked. The concept is good in theory but the business is very unprofessional and the service was mediocre.

This was our wedding anniversary dinner. We are not picky people but we have been at a few expensive Michelin star restaurants before. We spent more money here than a Michelin restaurant. The food was very good- the chef was friendly and the food was fresh and delicious. Problem is not the price for the food (you pay 130 dlls for 5 course per person), they charge you 115 dlls for wine pairing which was (half pours), so u get 3 glasses of wine for 115. So the final check was 600 for 2 people. I expected more from the service and the wine experience for that amount of money . By the way, I called probably 10 times in advance to find out if I could bring a bottle of wine or champagne for our anniversary - no one ever replied. They don't answer the phone period. It's a shame that having such a great chef, the place is managed like a commercial money driven restaurant to sell wine to people without knowledge . At Cafe 30a at least I was able to bring a bottle of reserve wine and I spent half the money for 4 people. I sure hope the owner reaches out to me to give feedback so he can improve- particularly about the service that night. In summary , he willing to spend 250-300 dollars per person for food and wine - or else feel like that you have to save money in wine for amazing food- or spend a lot of money for half pour glasses of wine.
