First time diner here. Great food, great mix of flavors, and well prepared with large portions. Probably the best Trout Almandine I have ever had. It's may not be as well known as its next door neighbor, but the food and service to us are better at 481 Gourmet. Give it a try.

The restaurant office, a pre-theater menu, which cannot be found in the downtown Sarasota area. We found the menu, creative and excellent quality.

Excellent dining experience. Our server, Barbara, was both attentive and friendly, sharing information concerning each dining option available. Outside courtyard was cool and comfortable. Appetizer (watermelon salad) was excellent, as were entrees of Sea Scallops and Shrimp Scampi. Dessert of bread pudding (with ice cream) and cappuccinos were a perfect start for our evening at Van Wezel Symphony Orchestra.

My wife and I had dinner at 481 Gourmet last evening. It was the first time we had eaten at this restaurant. We sat on their outdoor patio. I have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We had their three course Prix Fixed dinner. My caesar salad was one of the best I've ever had. My wife had the watermelon and feta cheese appetizer and she said it was very good. We both had the salmon as our main course and thought it was well prepared and cooked to perfection. We don't normally have desert when we go out but it was included. My wife had the creme brûlée and I had their chocolate bread pudding. Both were very tasty. I would highly recommend 481 Gourmet to anyone looking for excellent food , pleasant atmosphere and attentive wait staff.

What a wonderful find for dinner with friends ahead of an event at the Van Wezel. Everything was Perfect! The Server made great recommendations, all of which were impeccable! The Chef offered up Canapés for our table which went down very well, our favourites where the Lamb Shank, Scallops and Risotto with Mushroom Short Ribs!! For dessert U have to try the Expresso poured over Vanilla Ice cream, it was a perfect way to finish our wonderful meal! This is a definite for dinner whenever you're in the mood for an elegant upscale experience with great food, servers and atmosphere. An easy 5 stars!!!!
