We had a wonderful evening at Amore restaurant. We went to hear Luis play the piano and he was fabulous, so entertaining and talented. The food was terrific, Italian/Portuguese menu, and they had a very nice wine selection. I am very picky about veal, and the veal piccata was some of the best I have ever had. The service and the ambiance were excellent too.
Place was closed. Friends & Family showed up, only to see that they were not opened. Had reservations for six. Extremely disappointed that this happened. I probably won't use this application again.
Wonderful restaurant, food taste just like Portugal . Stage was exceptional and friendly. We will definitely go back .
A great experience. Staff very friendly and extremely accommodating. Food was served hot Raviolis were excellent as well as Veal Parm Worth the trip, finally a good and varied menu
Amazing service & food! The service was great but even more enlightening to hear the piano!

First time here and pleasantly surprised. Exceptional service and food. We had the Covina fish special of the night and veal parmigiana followed by crème brûlée Don't let the fact that the location, tucked away in a shopping center fool you. We will be back soon!!
We had such a lovely evening at Amore Restaurant. It’s a true gem in Sarasota! The food, the atmosphere, the live piano music - everything was just perfect. We had a 3-course meal: I had a Caesar salad, Bolognese pasta, and Tiramisu - all super delicious!!! My husband had the soup of the day, a cod dish, and Pastel de Nata - as good as the ones we had in Portugal.
Beautiful place, warm service, and authentic flavors of both Italy and Portugal. Highly recommend for a cozy, elegant night out.

My wife and I dined last night and enjoyed it thoroughly. The musician was very pleasant with the piano, and we ordered from both the portuguese and italian menus. We have been here several times but I read reviews that said some of the portuguese dishes were heavy on the salt, so we asked them to go light on the salt. Both dishes were delicious. I had the pork tenderloin with baby clams, which was loaded with clams. My wife had the shrimp and crab linguine, which was also heavy on the seafood and very tasty. I had the chef's salad that was lovely and robust. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.
Very nice time at their Wine Dinner. Restaurant is in a run down strip mall

We have been to Italy several times and to Portugal twice. We ate in many places in those countries and know their cuisines. Amore's Italian and Portuguese food is not good! Service was very good and music by Eddie Tobin was first rate. Without him, the joint dies!
Looking for the best Italian food in Sarasota? Come to Amore. If you are looking for a crowd featuring men with beards, backward baseball caps and tattoos, this is not the place. But uf your are looking for fabulous old Italian, then come to Amore.
Several friends and I attended this restaurant on August 21st. We had a FABULOUS time. We were there to help celebrate that night's performer Brenda Watty's birthday. We spent the night eating, drinking, laughing and dancing! We ALWAYS have fun there. We are looking forward to returning in Season for another GREAT evening of FUN!
my compliments to chef TITO, amazingly prepared for dinner for three. overall flawless meal , thank you to the chef s d staff Vinnie P
Our experience at Amore could not have been better. We had some trepidation because of the strip mall location but everything from the outstanding bottle of wine to the amazing Portuguese egg custards we had for dessert was top rate. The ambiance was cosy and welcoming. The service was friendly, helpful, and not smothering but efficient. Our veal entrees were delicious snd outstandingly tender. Finding an actual Italian restaurant in the area has been difficult up until now. We enjoyed every moment and morsel. We are already anticipating our next visit. This place is truly a gem.
