As a person with celiac disease I was excited to read that Andrea's offered numerous gluten-free options for dinner. Our server was able to recite all GF entrees and starters from memory, as there is not a separate menu or GF designation listed. The buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes with pesto was amazing, as was the short rib entree. Our server brought our a regular bread basket for the other folks in our party, and surprised me with my own basket of GF olive bread. I was so excited to be able to enjoy bread safely, and it really is THE BEST gluten free bread (and meal) in town.

The boys do an incredible job of running front of house!!! They are so respectful and considerate of your dining needs. The food is always top notch and the wine list is spectacular

The beef cheeks and risotto was the star of the evening. The veal pâté was delicate and flavorful. We are never disappointed with the food at Andrea's. We arrived for a 7:30pm reservation but our table wasn't ready. The servers did their best to do a quick turnaround but it was roughly 8pm when we were seated -- and there's no bar or place to wait. We thought about going to a bar next door but decided to wait outside on the sidewalk instead. It is a small restaurant. The nice thing is the staff didn't rush us, even though we were the last diners in the place. We'll be back.

I returned to my favorite Italian restaurant last night with some out-of-town friends. As always, the food and service were perfect. The Ravioli del "Plin" may be the world's best pasta appetizer! Highly recommended!

I found the atmosphere pleasant and the service excellent. The woman who handled the orders and service was amazing. She took care of the entire sitting area. The Tagliolini Sunday Style was not good and tasted like it had too many green olives in it. The lasagna was passable. The Caesar salad was good, but I thought the use of basic bagged croutons was inappropriate for a restaurant of this caliber. The desserts were wonderful and definitely the highlight of the evening. We had Tiramisu and Creme Bruellet and they were both excellent. I'm sorry to say that I probably won't be returning to this establishment.

Andreas is one of our favorite restaurants in Sarasota. The food is consistently good and the service is outstanding. It is a small, quiet place where you can easily talk to the people at your table. Andrea always makes a point to stop by the table to make sure everything is ok. You don't get personal attention like that at too many places.

We decided to try this restaurant after driving by and reading the positive reviews. We had the prix fixe menu and all courses were excellent. Our service was terrific with the right amount of attention and good timing. We plan to return to try some other items on the menu. Nice daily specials are offered.

A fair Italian meal. Reasonable prices but nothing special and crazy wine prices...

A very good choiceWe finally dined at Andrea's with friends last night, and had a great time and meal. The experience wasn't quite what I expected, starting with the restaurant itself. From the outside, Andrea's looks dark and easily overlooked. Located in a strip mall across from Aldi's, Andrea's and Rick's French Bistro seem out of place. But once I stepped inside for the first time, I found a well-lit upscale welcoming place. I consider places upscale if there are tablecloths and lots of glassware, and menu prices on the high side. You can spend money at Andrea's, our total was about $60 per person, but there are also less expensive options. If you do want to spend money, they offer an extensive wine selection. We found Andrea's a comfortable place, not pretentious.Andrea is a real person. He stopped by a couple of times to introduce himself and to make us feel welcome and appreciated. His two sons provided excellent service throughout our visit. I love eating at locally owned and operated places, a family business. As for the food, I started with their Cesar Salad and included anchovies for an upcharge. It was a good size but did lack any noticeable Ceasar dressing flavor. Light and fresh, for me the saltiness of the anchovies saved this course. For my entrée I had their Tagliolini Sunday Style. It was tough to decide, they offer 3 or 4 entrees I really wanted to try, a good reason to return someday. This pasta dish was large and very good. I did some research and still don't know exactly what Sunday Style means, but there is a tradition by Italians to enjoy pasta on Sundays. Perhaps there is an extra effort to make that a special meal, and perhaps Andrea includes an extra effort for this dish. The flavor was mild, the pieces of braised pork ribs while not melt in your mouth tender were still very easy to eat and provided some texture. Others at the table gave high marks to the Pappardelle 2085 entree. We made a very good choice when we selected Andrea's for dinner.
