We went there on a Saturday for Lunch. They were out of a lot of things, no water, no brisket, no horchata, etc. Food was mediocre. I will not go back and would not recommend with so many other good restaurants in the area.

Clean and friendly! Flautas are crispy and have a good sauce - just fried enough but not greasy. Fajita was good; the jefa burrito was excellent. Chips served warm - excellent!

The owners are very friendly and welcoming. They treat you like family. Food is ALWAYS great. The margaritas are very good.Parking: Not a lot of room but easy in, easy out.Wheelchair accessibility: Double doors for entry.

Not a Saturday lunch spot. Felt like we were bothering their day. Ask for popusas (specialty) and was talked out of having them. So we just had the flautas although tasty took as long as we had ordered a main dish. @Bitias still the spot for popusas.

Amazing food!!! Everything, from the tortilla chips and salsa to the 3 tacos plate, and the children enjoyed the quesadilla with rice and beans and steak. Not a plate was left with food. The yellow rice, mmm so tasty with this yummy bean sauce, the looks don't even do justice, you have to taste the food. I like the way they kept the place authentic, displaying the Mexican culture. The only thing missing after the food was a gazebo on the beach. The staff was nice and attentive to the children. Adult portions and kids portion were fairly great.

The food was delicious! I'm not exaggerating- I would probably eat here daily if I could.I had a serious Mexican food craving on the 4th of July and few restaurants were open but Angel's was and I am so so so happy they were! I ordered a burrito and my partner got beef enchiladas. I'm the kind of person that can maybe only ever eat half of a burrito but this was so good that I kept eating well after being full. I also tried my partners food after seeing how happy she was and although I dont usually love enchiladas, they were also delicious! The options for Mexican food in Sarasota are really hit or miss (mostly miss) but not Angel's. If you're trying to decide to eat here, just do it. The parking lot is small and it doesn't look like much from the outside but it's what's on the inside that really counts anyway. ?

My wife and I stopped here for lunch. What a treat. Everything we tried was good staring with the salsa and the excellent guacamole. We had fajitas and chimichangas, both excellent, and the beans and rice as well. The owners were also extremely nice. We highly recommend this place!

Small privately owned establishment with a very homey feel about it. We ate there twice and food, along with the service, was exceptional. CaNt wait to return.

Chimichanga heaven. Delicious food and great staff. Bring the family for this gem. Late afternoon lunch while visiting Sarasota. Great experience.

Did t even get the food yet so I can't review on that, but the second I walked in there was a lady sitting eating cookies. Didn't know she worked there.. then she said "hello" and got up. I said I was gonna place a carry out and asked for a menu, she scuffed and pointed at a menu on a table that looked like it was set up for 2 people. I walked over and grabbed the menu, looked at the, Then I went over to the counter and placed my carry out. Just wanted a basic burrito with beans and cheese on the inside. She rolled her eyes and gave me such a hard time with ordering it. I asked for a side of rice and beans and she said "it comes inside the burrito." I understand that but I wanted to add a side of rice and beans. Just what I wanted and I would have paid for it. She didn't let me do that. Not sure if she was racist toward me, upset I got a carry out, or mad I ordered a burrito with just beans and cheese but I showed her nothing but respect. I think she could see my frustration because after she was rude to me I just kind of gave her a look, turned around, and sat down waiting for my food. I did not even leave a tip on my to go, which is something I ALWAYS DO being a server, but the treatment I got from her I didn't even deserve. The second I walked in the door she was rude. With me being the only other customer in the place I would think she would have given me a bit more respect? Guess not. Anyway, got my food, no side of rice or beans. She did give me the pico on the side like I asked, and a rice crispy treat? Not sure if that was a way to apologize for the way I was treated but I simple "I'm sorry" or "I didn't mean to come off as rude your order just caught me off guard" would have been enough for me to forgive her. But yeah, paid $15 for a burrito that was just kinda thrown together, wasn't grilled, no rice on the side like I had asked, and terribly rude service. Don't even really want to eat the food because I feel like she spat in it. Anyway, I was super disappointed because the place was rated kind of high online. Glad I got the to go because I don't think I would have been able to sit through a whole lunch of her serving us. If she's the owner and cares about her business she will hopefully learn to treat others with respect especially when it was given to her.

Very authentic! Sandra the owner and cook came out to our table and suggested several dishes that were phenomenal. Made from scratch and very quick. Definitely coming back!

The building's exterior may be unassuming, but don't be fooled by that. Angel's is warm and welcoming inside, and offers absolutely delicious food! I felt like I was eating a home cooked meal with family, which is a rare find when eating out. I have no idea how they prepare their rice and beans, but I'm pretty sure magic is involved. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We were looking for authentic Mexican food and had looked up a couple others finding them not to be quite up to our standards. Upon parking, my parents were leary about going in, but after some convincing (and the grandkids already going in), we found a table large enough for our group. The owner came out and had a delightful sarcastic demeanor that was right up our alley. The margaritas were huge and delicious, while the food was plentiful (except for the kids meals which were small for older children but probably perfect for 5 and under). If you're looking for American Mexican food, pass on this, but if you're looking for great food, great service and great price for the quantity, do yourself a favor and not miss this place.
