Made the mistake of ordering delivery.
I live literally next door to the restaurant and the delivery driver could not find my apartment and spoke no English at all. It was marked as out for delivery for a half hour with no sign of my food and no contact from the driver. The app even told me the delivery was completed for at least 10 minutes before I tracked down the driver and gave me no way to find my food or the driver they assigned from DoorDash.
Thankfully DoorDash sent me an automated text when they assigned the driver, so I could call her. I had to use my broken Spanish to explain how to get to me. Maybe if Applebee’s allowed more than 5 words in the delivery instructions, I could have given her proper instructions. Although she spoke no English, so she wouldn’t have been able to read them.
I don’t know how long she took to find out where to go, because I literally live next door and she didn’t even try to reach me.
The only reason I paid a fortune for delivery is because I’m injured and can’t walk. Terrible delivery experience.
The food was ice cold and rubbery. Just terrible. On top of that, the burger has no pink at all, it was completely burnt to a crisp and dry as a hockey puck. The bacon was also burnt and had off flavors. I had to remove the rancid onions and wilted lettuce.
Just a terrible, expensive experience for something I could have walked to pick up in 3 minutes if I could walk. I’ll never order delivery from here again. Maybe never even order food again.
The burger was awful and the chicken tacos had none of that sauce on them the chicken usually has. Just awful experience. Waste of money.
2 stars because the bartender was great last time I was there and the food didn’t suck like it did this time.

I think my last review was deleted, so I'll repost it. The food was cold..I guess the consistency in quality depends on the cook and time of day. The young bartender, Emily, does not make good drinks. They do not taste the way they should, are never the right color, and always taste watered down. Waste of money. The more experienced bartenders are always consistent. Train her better or get her away from the bar.

Tiffany the manager was great . She made sure we ate well and were comfortable and all the staff in the restaurant were good help. Would highly recommend this location it is finally in good shape .

Leidy , Jessica, Kelly, Meghan were fabulous. Last year we brought 53 kids to eat dinner at the restaurant and they were so accommodating. So this year we came back with our school group and once again they were fantastic. They were totally accommodating to the teachers and to 41 middle school students! We can’t wait to come back next year in our trip to North Florida! Who goes to the staff and especially the managers of Applebee’s on Fruitville in Sarasota, Florida?
Great service. Manager very involved to insure the best possible experience. Really appreciate. Our server, Sara was very pleasant and most helpful.

I order an appetizer, while waiting for it to come out our food main food came out first. So I was already annoyed. So I told the server I didn't even want the appetizer anymore, she took it off my bill. But in the mean time was talking badly with her co workers about my table. My kids food came out frist and the pizza my daughter ordered looked under cook, while my son's chicken tenders looked over cooked. The plate my food came out on had blood on it from the stake I ordered. I ordered medium rare, but some parts came out well done. The only reason I didn't make a bigger seen was because it was my birthday and my daughter we excited to go out for it. The manager never came around and asked how everything was. I use to love Applebee's but I think this is the last time for me.

I hated it only had 2 servers we sat there for 2 hours waiting for our food nobody came to check on us to see if we needed help they just left us there after they brought drinks over never even came back to see if we needed refills or how the food was we had to wave the waitress down to get our check... Horrible service I was in pain the whole time
