1592 never disappoints. Everything is fresh, very well prepared and beautifully plated. Service is fast, friendly and efficient. Excellent value for a casual, neighborhood, Greek-inspired dining experience e.

Food waa great but our service was below average. Waiter was a nice guy but he never came back around to see if we wanted more drinks, how our food tasted after it was delivered, asked if we needed anything else, never cleared our empty plates, etc...

First time visiting. Decor was eclectic. Wish they wouldn't have sat us all the way in the back with a view of the storage area - where most of the 2 seater tables appeared to be. Staff were all very friendly, and food came out quickly and was presently well. Food taste was okay, portions were generous, and quality seemed good/fresh. Value for today's money is pretty good considering how expensive a three xourse meal can be these days. The atmosphere is lively, and they have a nice outdoor seating area on the sidewalk around the restaurant. Parking was plentiful, but most of it is paid. The menu is varied, which is nice for those who want that kind of option, but it truly spans multiple countries' cuisines without staying true to any one cuisine. It's in the main part of the downtown sarasota eating mecca. We still haven't found a favorite there, however.

Lamb chops are great value (5) and delicious! it's our favorite spot in Sarasota for lamb chops!

Food was yummy, but the restaurant was FREEZING!! Had the shrimp and octopus pizza-fantastic!

Great service very attentive and quick. Been a couple times and love their small plates. However, this time the salmon was over cooked after ordering it medium and the spinach pie was super oily.

The atmosphere in here is really nice. The small plates were so good. You can sit outside or inside. I sat at the bar and the bartender made me a handcrafted cocktail. The BEST espresso martini I have ever had.

The food was so good! You can tell it is wood-fired! And if you like Burrata, the pizza is the way to go! So delicious... will go back for that again!

Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and great service. My wife and I discovered this restaurant by serendipity and liked what we saw when we took a look inside the restaurant. The hummus is so delicious and the pita the best we ever had. We like to dine out mostly Mediterranean restaurant and this one we will be back.

I am confused by the reviews I read that enticed me to visit this establishment. It was not good. As a business traveler I will look up a local place to go with good reviews and order the most basic menu items. This is Because, If you can’t do the simple things then would I try the difficult dishes at a higher price?

Ordered the soup… good, thick like a lemon flavored cream of chicken but regardless of the extreme gelatinous experience the taste was good.

Ordered the trio of dips… grainy hummus with a very odd spoiled flavor and smell. Overall… meh.

Ordered the only burger, recommended but the indifferent bothered bartender. Save yourself 18 bucks and hit up a fast food burger joint. Flavorless, perfectly suspect round burger (frozen patty??) and greasy burger with slimy under cooked “carmelized” onions with burnt buns. Oh and the dirty spicy fries …. Pass on that flavorless soggy mess too.

All and all with the lackluster service I won’t be back.

This place is great. We tried most of their spreads and were blown away by the quality of the food. The spicy muhamarra was my favorite spread with the hummus a close second.Great home made pita bread. Excellent service. We will be back to try the salads and pizzas!
