We were only in Sarasota for a week but visited here 4 times. Exceptional bar service, great cocktails, delicious food. This place hit the bullseye on all fronts

An excellent place that truly saved our night! They welcomed us at the last minute and made both me and my friends feel incredibly comfortable. The food was absolutely exquisite—every bite was a delight. I highly recommend making a stop here; you won’t regret it! 🙌🏼

We have been enjoying 1592 for 4 years and the food and cocktails have been consistently outstanding! Eli is our favorite bartender in Sarasota, and the rest of the staff has also always been professional and friendly. We highly recommend dining here.

We’ve been to this restaurant before, and today we made a reservation to celebrate our 5th anniversary. The waiter was friendly and told us that since it was a special occasion, we would receive a complimentary dessert at the end. We were pleasantly surprised.

However, after we finished our meal, we waited for another 30 minutes for the waiter to bring us the check, but it seemed like he forgot about us. We eventually asked another staff member to help us, and he took care of the payment. Unfortunately, we never received the dessert that was promised.

Overall, we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, but the service left us disappointed and slightly ruined the mood of our celebration.

Love this place for a casual dinner with friends and family. Great for sharing to make it interactive and you can control the amount of food you get to suit. Flavors, presentation, quality of food etc. is consistently good. Amazing bar and cocktails if you're into that! Service is always friendly and 1592 has quickly become a firm favorite of ours!

Love this restaurant! Always fabulous food, service and vibe. Unfortunately, the AC wasn't working and it was extremely hot in the restaurant. That said we enjoyed our experience and can't wait to return!

Food was outstanding - all 4 of us loved our dish. Service was very good. It was hot in the restaruant and they were trying to work on the AC but it wasn't really a bother to us. Nice restaurant right on the corner downtown Sarasota.

1592 is a go-to spot for my family when we're in the area, and the food never fails to transport us to the Mediterranean. We usually split the trio dips to start the meal off, and the Greek salad and octopus appetizers have also been a hit. Cannot recommend this spot enough!

GREAT place with Huge selection of different flavored foods to choose from; especially in the gluten free area. Very relaxed and chilled vibe atmosphere and the service was very attentive and friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for those traveling to downtown Sarasota area. Definitely planning to go back again in near future.....

The food is very good. However, the noise level was over the top. Had to shout so that my two dinner companions could hear me. The initial service was very attentive. Two glasses of wine were served promptly, but the one beer took a long time. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Our server never came back, so we had to flag him down to order dessert. Dessert was served quickly, but the coffees were quite slow. While we liked the food, if we could not sit outside, we would not return. Just too noisy.

I love 1592. The waiter always remembers us and jokes around. The food is always delicious. Baba ganoush and lamb chops are our favorittes!
