One of the best restaurants in Sarasota. We eat at many places but this one is truly at the top of our list. The food is excellent, the service is superb & the atmosphere is exceptional. We were there to celebrate my friend’s anniversary & the restaurant truly helped us make it a surprise. Edwardo was the most attentive server. He was excellent & we observed all servers doing such a great job.FOOD: Try the Brussels sprouts for appetizers. It fed 5-6 of us & had a great flavor. Dinner: I highly recommend the yellow fin tuna steak. Oh my gosh, the flavors that are married into this main course dish were delicious. They blended so well into the tuna steak (which was cooked perfectly & not overdone) melted in my mouth. Others at our table ordered the filet mignon which they said was excellent. My husband had the open-faced shrimp on pita bread which gave plenty of shrimp, perfectly cooked & the dressings were a delight. Even the coffee after dinner was great.SERVICE: These servers were so attentive, & as noted, Edwardo was excellent. He is bilingual, speaking Spanish & English. He anticipated all our needs, from drinks to food, to checking that we were happy with the way our food was right after it was served. He handled many tables without leaving us to ask for anything. How do they do all of that? A perfectly organized kitchen, chef, management & all that put this restaurant at the top.ATMOSPHERE: Seating includes inside & outside, both of which packed quickly but no one was left standing to wait. It is decorated perfectly, making great use of space, was clean as a whistle (even the bathrooms), & outside area.Overall, we love coming g here & will continue to do so. A great place to eat, shower your guests with the great flavors of Sarasota & terrific dining.Edwardo: Gracias!

Routine was good, as was service. A tad loud, but not all that annoying. Grilled salmon was excellent.
I rarely make reviews on food places but W O W this place was so delicious! I got the open faced chicken pita and they loaded it with perfectly grilled chicken, taziki and the perfect combo of toppings. I will definitely be coming back to the area just to come back and try more things off the menu!

1592 is a great place for outdoor atmosphere and dining. Every time I have a guest come to visit I always bring them to 1592. The bar has a wonderful vibe and its fun to watch their Mixologists make drinks behind the fully stocked bar. Its one of downtown sarasota's hidden gems! The wait staff is great, friendly and very personable. Its a must try and a place to bring friends and family. My husband really liked the pulled lamb sliders and I like their spinach and feta pizza. Its a place that you will want to check out! You will want to make a reservation especially on the weekends it get busy.

We had a fantastic server in Katy. She was so friendly and very helpful with recommendations as it was our first time there. The food came out hot and was incredible. It was a relaxing rainy afternoon, and we were not rushed out. Great atmosphere, great food, and great servers. Next time to Sarasota we will be back!
Had reservation for a high top table. We arrived 3/4hr early and understandably no high top available yet. returned for reservation at appointed time- no high top available but offed alternative seating- ok, no problem. Waited for 1/2 hr before waiter arrived at table. Gave full order- drinks, appetizers, entree's all at once since we waited so long. Within 1 minute, server arrived with grilled octopus app which was room temp at best- obviously mass produced in advance and no interest in re-heating. Entree's then arrived. First, grilled tuna flavorless and watery like it was frozen for an extended time- obviously not fresh. Other entree- mushroom risotto- the best part of the experience, maybe a bit over salted but that suited my taste. The Bordeaux wine I ordered initially never arrived so halfway through the meal I was able to get a waiters attention and receive what had been ordered when first seated. Overall, a disappointing experience and unlike our prior visit to the restaurant. I blame it on lack of staffing and busy "in season" demands- not certain that is a good enough excuse to cut some slack with our experience.

Awesome food and great service. I was celebrating a birthday, and the server went out of her way to make me feel special.Parking: Very busy part of Sarasota and finding a parking spot is very difficult. There were, however, lots of handicapped spots if you need one.
