Food- Great. Customer service- TERRIBLE
Long story short - We dined at Beso 3 times - Friends gave us a gift card in March of 2025 knowing we liked this restaurant. We spent May thru October visiting family up north - Made a res at Beso in November - Used the gift card - they declined it saying it was used in July. - We were in Pennsylvania in July - They noted the card used for the full amount, but they apparently did not ask the user for the card nor did they keep the card? - We had our card. We had to pay for our meal - they researched it but still still wouldn't honor the gift card - the CS person offered us a free paella. Thats it!
Perhaps a glitch with the gift card company or a hacked card number? Not sure. They should have honored it as gift cards are a service THEY offered and should take responsibility for. In my opinion, even with excellent food, a lack of integrity will keep me from ever returning. Was it worth losing a repeat customer over a $100 gift card? Apparently so. Bad business decision!

very good ! Andy was our server and he was amazing ! He was very knowledgeable on the food and flavor ... atmosphere was very calming with dim lighting.. it was three of us and my little one in his stroller and space was very suitable... staff was super attentive and everything was clean. food was delicious and came out within minutes.
Im not easily impressed and this place did it. Impressive combination of great food, amazing service and nice atmosphere. We had the fixed menu for 12 of us celebrating a friends birthday. Dish after dish were excellent with the patella ad the crown jewel. We had both a seafood patella and veg. We will be back again and again.

Great place for dinner in downtown Sarasota. Spanish food that finagles every micron of flavor from their menu! The theme here is Tapas which allow you to share several of their dishes with your table mates. We enjoyed the ham and cheese toast and a variety of olives to start. Next came the Patatas Bravas, eat while hot if you can as pan fried potatoes lose texture when the cool down, but the sauce they are fried in makes it worth it! We had two of their specialties, the peppers stuffed with pork and chorizo and the most surprising was the artichokes! Wow! To much food for the two of us, but leave room for the Churros and Hot Chocolate for dessert! Fair price for an incredibly tasty dinner. Service was excellent and the cocktails were yummy! The Sangria was perfecto! Highly recommend!

I found this place because of Google reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere was really cool without being snobby and Walker behind the bar was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly loves his job. I came specifically for the grilled octopus which was delicious, and also had the artichoke with jamon, also so yum. Can’t wait to come back on my next visit to Sarasota!

This restaurant is the best restaurant l have ever been too since l have existed. The ambiance and interior design is magical. The service is phenomenal and the foos and cuisine is an orgasm of eatery. l had a bourbon drink that rocked my world, the ptatas with a chipotle sauce was so good and the steak was awesome . the chicken was great. BLESSED TO BE ABLE TO DINE HERE

Beso is an absolute gem in downtown Sarasota! We tried the Spanish Grilled Cheese, Pollo Ajillo, Carrillada De Ternera, and ended with the churros and flan — every dish was a perfect 10/10. The flavors were bold, beautifully balanced, and clearly crafted with care.
Beyond the food, the service was exceptional. Troy, the manager, made us feel truly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, making it an ideal spot for both a casual night out or a special occasion.
Between the incredible food, warm hospitality, and beautiful setting, Beso is already a standout restaurant in Sarasota. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!

Great atmosphere, amazing food and cocktails, and even better Service. Michael and Walker are phenomenal and we have been just about everywhere in Sarasota! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and very good at what they do. My girlfriend and I have been sitting at the bar which we do not typically do, just because they have such a passion for their craft. Make sure you ask for them when you go.
