Wow. Logan is great. Served us great ice cream and went the extra mile for us by making flavor suggestions based on our astrology signs. Logans soft brown eyes were chocolate chips, and his shining smiling was the vanilla ice cream. Honestly a night me and my friends will never forget. Rename this restaurant Logans creamery!

We have really terrific ice cream shops in our town, all homemade, so the bar is pretty high to equal them. Olaf’s ice cream was good but not really a contender. The prices were sky high compared to the Boston area. A single scoop costing $5.40? Not worth the price.

Glad we found this place, so many flavors, centrally located in the village, and the ice cream is delicious! It definitely hit the spot. There is an area in the front to sit and enjoy your ice cream, and they also have some indoor seating. There is paid parking nearby, and it can get quite busy at times because the area is full of eateries and shops.

Tons of flavor and cone options! Wonderful ice cream. We haven't tried the many fudge options yet, but they look delicious! We go at least once every time we are here, and we went 3 times this visit!

My family and come to Siesta every 2 years and we ALWAYS make a couple trips to Olaf's each time. Their cookies and cream is THE BEST! But I got birthday cake this second time, and it's good too!

In 1982, Dennis Yoder established Olaf's Cremery in Siesta Village on Siesta Key, a barrier island off Sarasota, Florida. He started with such ice cream staples as vanilla and butter pecan and added a couple of creative flavors in Kahlua Krunch and Amaretto Almond. In 2003, Yoder was joined by Tom Peachey. Together, they have established four other locations in the Sarasota area by producing a popular and delicious product, a group of Amish craftsmen hand mixing and churning ice cream in batch freezers. Located at 5208 Ocean Boulevard, the flagship Siesta Village location is open from 11 to 10 Sunday through Thursday and 11 to 11 on Friday and Saturday. Ice cream lovers gather on the sidewalk benches to enjoy home-made ice cream in waffle cones and a variety of fudge. They have a choice of 65 flavors that can be purchased in cones, pints, half gallons and 2 1/2 tubs. What's your favorite flavor? My wife and I always choose three at a time. Never the same three twice. What was the last time you had vanilla, chocolate and strawberry? On our latest visit, my wife chose butter pecan, cookie dough and cookies and cream. I opted for toasted coconut, chocolate almond and lemon custard. But how about peach, apple caramel swirl and butterscotch? Or chocolate chip, black raspberry and pumpkin? Or banana, brownie fudge and white chocolate raspberry? Or rum raisin, salted caramel pretzel and plantation praline? Or orange pineapple, coconut almond joy and whitehouse cherry? Other locations in the area are at 3350 Bahia Vista, 561 North Washington Drive, 8151 Lakewood Main Street in Lakewood Ranch and 1276 Jacaranda Boulevard in Venice.
