Looks like this reopening closed. Not surprised- they weren’t better unfortunately. Wasn’t clean, no staff, not safe for very small dogs, cut hours opened. I stopped going. Disappointed - Sarasota really needs a dog bar.

We’ve been here twice, great if you live dogs, beer and bar food. Our dogs had a ball there.

Bobby made us two amazing pizzas tonight at Sarasota Dog Bar—one on thin crust and one on regular crust. Both were cooked to absolute perfection. You can truly taste the passion in every bite. The atmosphere is always great here, but the pizza really takes it to another level. Highly recommend!

5-Star Review for Dog Bar Sarasota
5 stars – Absolutely Paw-some Expansion! A Must-Visit for Dog Lovers!
I just had the most tail-waggin’ fantastic time at the brand-new Dog Bar Sarasota, and my pup couldn’t agree more! If you’re familiar with the original Dog Bar in St. Pete, you’ll be thrilled to know they’ve expanded south with the same unbeatable vibe – but now right here in Sarasota, making it even easier for us locals and visitors to join the fun. This spot is a game-changer for anyone who wants to sip a cold one while their furry bestie plays off-leash without a care in the world.
First off, the staff? Total rockstars. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so welcoming and genuinely excited to meet both me and my dog. They know their stuff – quick with treat recommendations, safety tips for the play areas, and even chatting about the best pup-friendly spots around town. It’s clear they love what they do, and that energy is contagious!
Shoutout to the ownership too – they’ve nailed the expansion from St. Pete, keeping all the charm while tailoring it perfectly to Sarasota’s laid-back scene. The attention to detail shows: clean, spacious indoor and outdoor areas, fun amenities and cozy seating, and a menu of craft beers, cocktails, and tasty bites (like that wood-fired pizza. Don’t miss it – our slices were perfection!).
And the location? Prime real estate in the heart of Sarasota – easy to get to, plenty of parking, and that perfect mix of urban buzz and beachy relaxation just minutes away. Whether you’re grabbing a quick happy hour or making a full afternoon of it, it’s the ideal spot to unwind with your pack.
If you’re in Sarasota with a dog (or even without – it’s that fun!), drop everything and head to Dog Bar Sarasota. Five stars aren’t enough – this place deserves a whole kennel full! Can’t wait to go back. 🐶🍻
Tried calling the establishment, couldn’t get ahold of anyone. to ask questions before driving up from fort myers…. Anyways you can’t have non-fixed pets… not very inclusive
On the other note they said we could have a day pass, but when I spoke with the manager just to ask simple question why she told me if I don’t like their polices I can leave… so ill leave it there

Puggo says it's k9 approved. If he had opposable thumbs he'd give 2 thumbs up. So nice to have a local dog bar to take the pups to and the indoor/outdoor option is perfect for the florida weather! Rain, shine, extreme heat or just right we can spend our time here anytime. Recommend trying the wings, burger or fish sandwich! Puggo says the dog menu is delish too!

Will miss you all.
We just left the restaurant … we were excited to hear that it was 50% off pizza and Happy Hour all day. All four of us ordered pizza. We sat outside and it started to get really cold once the sun started to go down … we asked for one of the heaters to be turned on and they attempted to turn it on without success and it didn’t get addressed again after that. We were so cold but hoping once the pizzas came we would get warmed up but….. 2 of our pizzas came out before the other 2 and strangely they were sooo cold for one …we ordered the NeoPawlitan pizza … besides being cold .. it had almost no ingredients on it ..literally canned sauce with 5 thumbprint pieces of cheese and 2 leaves of basil on the whole pizza .. yuck. What a disappointment. When the other 2 pizzas came out they were hot out of the pizza oven and had lots of ingredients on them. It gave us the impression that the first cold ones came out … someone had sent them back and they sat there until they could te-serve them to us… NOT COOL ! That said… the server Kate was amazing. And we love the place otherwise. Just giving a heads up about our experience there.

An awesome find and something different than a dog park. Very fun for people and dogs . Definitely will be back
Food started to be good than it went downhill and so the service kind of sad.
Pizza was cold when I picked it up and the fries??? even though it was delicious pizza
Awesome food, location, dog park concept, homemade tables. What else could you want... seriously though, the best fresh cut/breaded mozzarella stick appitizer I've ever had.
Best dog bar there is
