It was good. But not on point.
I have to say that the brisket was very good. I'd definitely recommend the restaurant.

Terrible owner (or at least that was what the guy said even though he was buffing tables).
Response to the owner:
I apologize Dick Rivera, but you have a bartender claiming to be the owner of your establishment (I looked you up and you are definitely not the guy I had problems with).

So we are 50/50 with this place. The first time we went it was amazing, so good. I took my son and daughter in law next. We'll that was a disaster food took forever, kept forgetting this or that. Didn't bring the salad until we asked for the check. I love the atmosphere and will give it another try. Please do better.

We have enjoyed meals a several time over the past few years. The food was always flavorful, and the quantities were hearty. This time the food quality dropped significantly, while the prices have increased. The brisket served to everyone in our group tasted about the same as in the past, but the amount of meat on the prime brisket sandwiches was laughable (3-4 SMALL slices). Nothing like what has been served in the past. On top of that, the server misunderstood the drink order for a person in our group and made it a point to telling her that she had not explained what she wanted clearly. She did explain it clearly; I was sitting next to her when she ordered. Sorry, we won't be returning, consistency is important and grace is an element of serving in a restaurant...

My wife and I each ordered their brisket handheld, and was very disappointed. All bun with mostly slaw and pickles with less than an ounce of stringy beef on each. It was tasteless, and only the side of Texas caviar was good which is a bean salad. If you are going to be a Sarasota restaurant you should at least be better as well as eatable.

I recently visited Bricks and was extremely disappointed with both the service and the food. The staff seemed uninterested and inattentive, making us wait far too long for our order. When the food finally arrived, it was overly salty to the point of being inedible. Overall, it was a very unpleasant dining experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Never again!

We showed up for a late lunch after 1 and we were excited to find bbq. However, the meal took a long time coming out, despite just ordering brisket and sides. And, the brisket was tough. I wouldn’t choose eating here again. Maybe we’re spoiled living by 2fifty.
Kid-friendliness: There are kid menus and coloring pages. The outside patio wasn’t fully set up but the photos look like a good kid spot maybe during the summer.

Ordered "TO GO" food. Ordered the food from the bar. Ordered 3 appetizers. Other customers came in after I placed my order and received their food before I did. Took 25 minutes, only to get home. Which, by the way is only a couple of minutes away. To find everything cold. Quite disappointing.

Good atmosphere and service, but the ribs and pulled pork could be better. They weren't fall off the bone or practically melt in your mouth tender as I've had before in other BBQ joints. Everything else was good though.

Dry and cold meat when I received it after a long wait. Didn’t taste good.

We were honestly really disappointed with our experience here. We were told to sit wherever we'd like, so we sat down. There was only a handful of people in the dining room, but took about 10 minutes for someone to come and get just our drink orders.
The appetizer that we ordered was delicious! We were anticipating the same for the other foods. It took another 30-35 minutes for the orders to come to the table. The meats were beyond dry and the sides were average. We all found it strange there was only two BBQ sauce options and the waitstaff was very inattentive to our need for refills. We had to ask the waitress to come to our table three different times.
Very disappointing after all the local recommendations saying it was there favorite place! Hopefully this was a fluke and another trip here can rectified our first visit.
We truly felt that we could get much better quality food and great experience at Mission BBQ.

Not great, mediocre at best...
Price does not compare with quality of food by any means...

It was an ok experience. We had the ribs and brisket and it wasn't the best ever. It was ok but did not have the smokey flavor it should if it was smoked for 18hrs as they say it was. It was a bit dry and honestly a bit lacking in flavor. My brussel sprouts were kinda burnt and tasted a bit like it as well, I still ate them though. The Long Island wasn't very good, the alcohol used just wasn't very good and the second drink we got tasted like bad alcohol with blackberries in it. Just had to much alcohol and not enough flavor. The plain water tasted bad and my sweet tea was pretty good, just a tad bit lacking but when I put lemons in it tasted much better. The service was pretty decent, our server was really nice. Like I said it was an ok experience, however not a place we will be returning to unfortunately.
