Best jalapeño bagel I’ve ever had. So much so I waited in line just to tell them that. Breakfast bagel, double meat and provolone. Fantastic. I’ve had my share of bagels and always Jalapeño, and Buddy’s is a must stop institution in Sarasota. The place is authentic NY, including the Pork Roll.

I love their bagels, when I went in there, there was a woman waiting for a BLT (she waited at least 15 minutes), and I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. 2 kids came in and ordered something and they got their items before I did. The excuse for the extremely slow service was that the man who works there was in the bathroom. As I was waiting the young woman who was working behind the counter started eating a piece of bacon and never washed her hands! I won’t be back.

The counter staff and the cooks were very friendly it got super busy and they pumped out each order with excellence and precision the lox cream cheese was delicious my daughter love the egg bagel with the veggie spread and anyone who has a 4 year old knows that sneaking in veggies is important

Great sandwich problem is you can NEVER get through on phone or Website tried calling 2 Saturdays in a row - lady answers phone today put me on hold for 5 minutes never came back - website will only let you place order for Monday on Saturday at 10:45 !!! Owners your loosing business- where are you !! Hire more help or be there to help your workers!!!

The lady at the counter was very rude.Act like she didn't want to answer the phone then had the nerve to tell me not to call and place a order. She doesn't like answering the phone.. If she is not happy with her job I suggest that she finds another one

First time and not our last! I lived in NY for 8 years and this is as close as you will get, it was delicious, clean and the staff was working hard to take care of their guests.
Not a big reviewer but every once in and while you get a meal worthy of your time. Today I got the Taylor ham breakfast sandwich and it was awesome. Haven’t had many great breakfast sandwiches in the area as of late but this one was definitely worth it.

I guess people in Florida don't know what a real NY bialy looks and taste like. And while Buddy's bagels may be okay for most Floridians, they do not know how to make bialys. They're interpretation of a bialy is nothing more than a huge flat dense bagel. They are not light and airy as they are supposed to be and have no small indented center laced with garlic. Perhaps whomever is doing the baking for Buddies needs to take a little trip to New York and learn how bialys are actually made.

When the bagels are good, they’re good; when they are burnt, they are BURNT. I have come across this the last few times I’ve gone in for takeout. Bagel looks great on the outside, then is trash as soon as you open it. I even asked the employee if it was my bagel I smelled burning and was told no, it’s jalapeño toppings from another bagel stuck inside the toaster. This was stated to me and another customer that came in after I did, when she asked the same question. Both employees again said no that it was seeds and jalepeños stuck in the toaster. Now that I’ve had my bagel tossed in the trash more than three times, it’s getting out of hand. Why are we being served burned food, and being lied to blatantly by staff?
For clarification the first 2 photos are the same bagel, the second two are a different bagel purchased at the same time as the first.
