Food was amazing! But service was so slow. We had to go inside and ask for water/our waiter multiple times. Had to flag down a manager to ask for a box and the check. Waiter was just not attentive at all.

The food was fabulous as well as the drinks! The Service was top notch with our server Andre and the prices are not bad considering! He was in constant contact with us and knew what to suggest for any requests! The ambiance is also wonderful with an Italian charm that is second to none and is our favorite restaurant in Sarasota!!

The linguini and clam sauce and the ravioli and mushroom dish were very tasty. Great service but a bit pricey for pasta.

Always a wonderful experience at Café Amici. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The service is impeccable and the friendliness of the owner and staff shows throughout your experience. We love coming to Café Amici for wonderful food and a good time.

The service was adequate but not to the level you would expect at a high priced restaurant. The food was good but did not meet expectations of the price charged. The value of the total experience was significantly subpar. We will not return.

Over the years, Cafe Amici has become more and more popular, to the point where it is always full and often full of energetic patrons loudly enjoying their meal. I think some acoustic tiles on the ceiling would be a big improvement.

While the ambiance etc of this place was good, obviously popular, the service we received from the waiter was poor. He was surly and gruff. He rattled off the half dozen specials so quickly and with some kind of accent that we could barely follow. It's kind of obnoxious that at the bottom of each page of the menu in bold print it states that a surcharge will be applied to share an entree. Do they know who their audience is? Most of the diners are over 60! No substitutions is there in bold as well. A tiny basket of bread was dropped off and when we asked if we could have more we were ignored. We didn't expect it for free, would have paid extra but he just seemed annoyed when we asked and never brought it. I ordered a$20 glass of cab sav. It arrived straight out of the fridge, cold enough that there was condensation on the glass. I'm no wine expert but this is not how a glass of red should be served. Near the end of the glass I was actually grossed out to find a huge glob of sediment in the bottom of the glass. Ive drank a a LOT of wine and never came across this before. Clearly this had been retrieved from the fridge after a significant amount of time since it had been opened. I brought it to the waiters attention and he just shrugged and said that it was just sediment and that's normal. It was NOT normal and it was gross. I reluctantly ordered another glass and fully expected him to offer that the first one would not appear on the bill. Nope. I considered asking him to remove from the bill but realized by his demeanour that he was not going to comply. The pasta dishes were pretty decent. The gnocchi was very salty, too salty. We will choose to try the many other restaurants in the neighbourhood instead of considering another dinner here unfortunately.

My wife and I live here in Sarasota and we have family who owned the best Italian restaurant in the town I grew up in. Very comparable! Our guest was visiting from across the country and wanted to have Italian. We were very happy and will be back!

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Feels like a hidden, local gem. Love the Rigatoni Alla Nicroni (Sausage and Truffle). My husband had the Veal Amici. Delicious. The bottle of Amarone was amazing and went well with both dishes. Highly recommend. Reservation is a must.

This is the perfect spot for lunch; a little away from the hustle and bustle of all the other Main Street restaurants. We shared the charcuterie board (the mortadella was yums!!, loved the fig jam and parmegiana cheese), and the seafood salad. It was fresh and beyond delicious. Could have it everyday. Perfect portions. Service was totally attentive without being intrusive. This will be our "go to" place as everything coming out of the kitchen was looking great. Table next to us had bolognese and raved. Wine list is fairly priced.

Great food. The out-of-town couple we were having dinner with got stuck in traffic and were 45 minutes late, The maitre d' was very accommodating and held our reservation. Thanks.
