I have been dining at Cafe Baci for 30 years and never had an unsatisfactory experience. Tonight was perfect as usual. I brought friends that never dined at Baci before and they were super pleased. My only regret is that my favorite restaurant is closing. ?

Our waitstaff person wonderful, she's from Guatemala but we didn't get hr name. We were celebrating a birthday and wanted to go for one of the last times before it closes. Such a loss the closing will be for Sarasota. The best Italian food in all of Sarasota.

It was nice to see how busy the restaurant was- it seems everyone wants to enjoy a Cafe Baci meal and reminisce about all the good meals they have enjoyed there in the past. We had a wonderful final meal there, my husband loved his grouper francaise and tiramisu dessert, while I enjoyed the lasagne and a (too!) large slice of chocolate cake. We will miss this restaurant, but want to commend the owners and staff for a job well done, and for bringing good food and good times to so many, and for so many years. We wish you all the best in retirement!

Cafe Baci never disappoints. The staff is always lovely and entertaining. The food surpasses expectations and is the best Italian in Sarasota. My husband always gets the chicken parmesan and swears it is the best he has ever had. I like to mix things up and try new things. Which leads to the specials! These little creations are sweet surprises that should not be overlooked. You should be sure to save room for dessert but if not, end your meal with a delicious espresso, cognac, or limoncello.

We have been coming here for thirty years. After we would deplane in Tampa and drive to Sarasota, Cafe Baci was our first stop before driving to our home on Palmer Ranch. We have dined here often because the food was so good. We were just there to celebrate my cousin's first time in Sarasota. I enjoyed a special dish of the day, Sea Bass as did my cousin's husband. My wife had a favorite of hers, a Veal Abundancia. And my cousin also had a special jumbo shrimp dish served over pasta. The meal was wonderful. Tod, our server, was gracious and efficient. The only downside was learning Cafe Baci was closing. There are so few great family restaurants here, and now we are losing one of the best. Arrivederci e grazie per i ricordi meravigliosi e i pasti fantastici. Ti auguro buona fortuna.

Went to celebrate our anniversary. Food and service were great. Brought home leftovers. Everything tasted fresh and made in house. Not inexpensive, but definitely great for a special occasion. Will go back.
