We went for a drink and appetizers on a recent Friday night and were sat outside. Food was decent. We had the FRITTURA MISTA DI PESCE & CAPRICCIOSA PIZZA. There was not a host at the hostess station so I believe it was the manager who sat us. He never smiled or warmly welcomed us. Waiter was slow and also never smiled. While it was a Friday night, it was busy but not too. You could still get a table outside and other than the bar area inside, it was wide open. We started to notice that only one employee was actually smiling.We have hesitated coming here in the past as they always seemed to have open tables when other restaurants were packed but saw some positive reviews so wanted to give them a chance. While the food was decent and their location amazing, service was slow & the staff do not seem to be enjoying themselves and therefore it's not a hospitable place. With all of the wonderful Sarasota options, I'd choose elsewhere before coming back.

The food is good quality but absolutely nothing special. I ordered gnochi with gorgonzola sauce, the quantity is absurd for the price, is really small, and the gorgonzola sauce was more cream than gorgonzola cheese, actually, I excercised my entire will force to finally taste something slightly closer to a cheap blue cheese there... Final words, TOO EXPENSIVE for the quantity and quality of the food... Keep looking, there is a lot competition there with better options. Here you'll end up spending a lot of money for only frustration.

I went here for the first time a few days ago but my parents have been coming to Epicure for years. It really lived up to the hype. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating but it was so busy, we got the last outdoor table. My mom had gnocchi and I had the pasta with tomato sauce and burrata cheese. Both were to die for. My very picky 13 month old was surprisingly obsessed with the gnocchi (first time ever having gnocchi). I can't wait to come back and try the pizza next time- I heard it's delicious!Kid-friendliness: They only have 2 highchairs. We were lucky only one was being used

Close walk from the Westin. Sat at the bar for Pizza and a Caesar salad. Excellent food, drinks and service! Nice atmosphere.
Sat atthe bar. Bartender was fabulous! We had the black linguine with shrimp and Diavolo sauce and the Mediterranean salad. Everything was fabulous!
