I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here. The food is good no matter what you choose from the menu. Staff is always really nice so you can ask them about anything and they can describe the dish to you. There is a weight because everybody knows how good this place is. So either come early or just know that you're going to have to wait. If you haven't been I would recommend it.

Captain Brian's Seafood Market is a true gem! This place is a fantastic discovery for the whole family. We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious meal and exceptional service. Anabel made us feel right at home, and we loved it so much that we came back the very next day! Highly recommended!! One of Sarasota's best!
PS. You gotta try their Key lime pie, it’s delicious!!!

The food tastes really good. The service was pleasant and professional. These are the two reasons I give 3stars.
But the portions are unbelievably and extremely too small for the astronomical price. Even where most places try and fill you up with the side dishes, here, they aren’t even attempting that. The slaw and potato salad come in tiny dishes that MIGHT equal 1/3 cup.
My wife and I left hungry and on our way to find a good dessert some place else after paying a bill of $50 for LUNCH here.
I’m afraid from now on I will skip this place from now on. Anna Marie Oyster Bar you will get more food for less money.
Oh, and no veteran discount here.

I should have walked out when I saw almost half the menu is seafood from the New England area that the fly in. Why do that when the ocean is less than a mile away? I got the grouper which was mediocre. If you want Florida’s seafood go anywhere else

What a great value.. especially with their Lobster!
My only complaint is that I smell bleach while eating…. I Love the service and food enough to get over it and I admit my nose detects things the average person wouldn’t experience.

Warning does NOt accept virtual or paper credit cards! This is not the first time it's happened either. At least the last time the waitress went and sought out manager assistance and figured it out . However not today ... Lizzie stated that due to their new POS system she must have a physical card .
This happened after she brought 2 bang bang shrimp appetizers and a calamari. However, we did not order calamari. She also forgot to remove the calamari when she provided us the bill. We've been going here since the beginning and today was different.... The oysters shrimp, clams fish, everything was overcooked and burnt up. We even noticed the portion size seemed to be smaller.

Greeted at the door, shown to our huge booth with a ton of legroom and table so we weren't elbow to elbow.
Water all around and a pint for Ma after two minutes.
Generous portions. Swordfish was grilled PERFECTLY: juicy, excellent grill marks and warm till the end.
If Brian's simply switches out the cool-white Kelvins Leds for warmer tones, this would really off set the whole dining area.
First visit and I'll be back.
