Great food, however, for a person who grew up with uzbek food, it is only "uzbek like". The medovik was magnificent

After reading the glowing reviews, we decided to take a two-hour drive to try this Uzbek restaurant, and I’m so glad we did! The journey was absolutely worth it. The food was nothing short of amazing, with rich, authentic flavors that truly stood out. On top of that, the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place that offers both delicious cuisine and warm hospitality, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Three of us had a very nice lunch here today, 02-01-25. Appetizer Cheburek was very good and enough for three. Potato pancakes different in size and appearance from Polish ones but still very tasty. Lamb Lula (ground lamb) Kebab was delicious, as was the side of grilled vegetables. Our server, Maria, was pleasant and friendly. Well worth a visit for something different but delicious.

This little gem serves up delicious Uzbek cuisine! The Warm Eggplant Salad was a standout, but the Lamb Pilaf, Lagman soup, and the Kazan Kebab (which is technically a dish with tender lamb chops, roast potato, and salad) were all fantastic. We'll definitely be back! I was too slow taking photos, the Kazan Kebab was a much fuller plate when it arrived :-))

Good food!
Even though this restaurant has been open for some time, I have to admit I did not notice it. It’s hidden in a strip mall behind the trees across Route 41 from DG hardware. There is parking out front. Although we got “takeout“ the attached video shows adequate indoor seating. It is decorated warmly.
But what’s most important is the food. I don’t go to a restaurant for its decorations. Making shish kebab is not as simple as placing a couple of chunks of meat on a skewer. We had both chicken and lamb. The chicken was well seasoned and not stringy or overcooked at all. The lamb had an excellent flavor and did not taste, as some people describe it, as Lamby. We also got an order of Manty. Not that we needed it since the portions were good, but because I was excited to try it. They too were good. There are a lot of onions and spices mixed in with the filling which is described in the menu. So if you don’t like onions, I would avoid this. I am just finishing two for my breakfast as I write this.
I write reviews because I, too, have relied on them when choosing a restaurant. If you are reading this you are, I presume, interested. This is a well run, ethnic restaurant steeped in authenticity. The food is good and you will enjoy your visit. Although the menu is not extensive, I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other options.
BTW
They do take out and they have a menu at the counter that you can take home. There are various menus on the Internet, but it is hard to know which ones are current.

A little expensive for beer, $8.5 per bottle, but in principle everything is delicious, the service is 100% cool.

Delicious food and the service is really kind. Our server didn’t speak perfect English but tried really hard to help cater our experience. The food is great, prompt service, just be patient to explain to the servers what you want and they’ll get it to you.

It's probably the only choice of "russian" food in this part of St Pete. The main issues I had were: 1. lack of food flavors due to the lack of basic spices 2.service that brings you check without your request for 3. Prices at the level of Michellin level restaurants. 4. Interior that is made of random carpets hung on garage quality walls. So if one to bring his own herbs for meet and $20 for small cup of soup - you might like it due to the lack of alternatives.
