Tried breakfast at daily bird this past weekend...worst breakfast I've ever had. Service was good and staff seems friendly. Place was a little noisy at the time, however other guests had children running around the restaurant. Probably won't be a returning customer. too many other local options that have better food.

Not my cup of tea. I had the Greek salad which I ate but did not enjoy. It was half a plate of pickled veggies. Potato salad. And the dressing was disgusting. No taste and not a Greek dressing. Hardly any feta. I had to cut my own lettuce which is a pet peeve too. If I come back I won't be getting that again.

What, I can't give Daily Bird 6 stars? The one big mistake I made on my recent visit to Sarasota was that we visited The Daily Bird on our last day in town. Don't be me: go there early in your visit so you have the chance to taste a variety of the tantalizing dishes on their menu. We stopped by for breakfast. There were some great choices on the breakfast menu but I ordered one of my favorites. Daily Bird's version of chilequiles is one of the tastiest I've had anywhere. It combines fairly thick chips (they're produced locally and were very fresh) with a tasty, funky -- but not too hot -- salsa; black beans; eggs; and it's strewn with pieces of chicken. The chips are chunky enough so that they don't totally collapse when they're wet, adding a great texture to the dish that's complemented by those pieces of chicken, which are add additional crunch since they're essentially the crispy ends of fried chicken. Surprisingly, not all the places where we had breakfast in Sarasota served fresh-squeezed orange juice (why not, I wondered?), but Daily Bird did and it was great. So were the biscuits that came out of the oven as we were ordering: light, fluffy, and very tasty with butter and honey. The lunch menu features grilled or fried chicken in salads and a variety of sandwiches with a limited number of sides. I urge you not to make the mistake I did, but to try Daily Bird early enough in your visit so you can return to try some of their other offerings. Given the quality of our breakfast, I'd confidently order any of those choices. And I'll be back when I return to Sarasota.

Love the Daily Bird ! Excellent Chicken Sandwich. Fresh and Juicy. Wonderful flavor and spicy crispy deliciousness. It is like Crack Shack in San Diego. Very awesome.

Stopped here with a girlfriend for breakfast after shopping at the farmers market. The food is amazing. Chicken sausage, potatoes latkes, frittata and salad and the wild blueberry scones. Handmade with a lot of heart. Every detail meticulously planned and fresh. Customer service was amazing as well. Loved this little joint. We will be back!
