We visited Daruma for our sons' birthday. Kenny was our chef and was amazing. Not only was our food amazing, but he put on a great show, particularly for all of the kids at the table. We go here quite a bit, but this was by far the best experience we've ever had. Please give Kenny the kudos that he deserves!

Incredibly rude and aggressive manager! Made a reservation for a birthday celebration with cake in hand, like we usually do. My daughter was met with an argumentative aggressive manager telling her there would be a $25 charge for us to bring in a cake. When she questioned why no one informed her of this new charge when she made the BIRTHDAY reservation and confirmed it with the rude employee on the phone, she was met with aggression and hostility. I opted to bring the cake back to the car so we could enjoy the celebration on principal, upon my return I decided to ask if this was now standard at both locations as I just celebrated my birthday with a cake last month at the other location. I was also met with hostility and aggression, the manager berated me about lost dessert revenue and wine cork fees. Once we were finally sat at our table we waited 15-20 minutes for service all while the manager, hostesses, and other employees congregated at the hostess stand talking and pointing out direction. Chef Ray was incredible and very attentive. Without his attentiveness we wouldn’t have gotten the food we ordered from the kitchen or drink refills as he had to remind the waiter to bring them. He and the parking lot cake saved my son-in-laws birthday celebration that was nearly ruined due to horrible staff and a horrendous, aggressive manager. If the owners are so worried about lost revenue they should review management, not loyal patrons bringing in a cake. I, or the other 11 people in our party, will NEVER return to this location.

Save yourself and go to the other location, it’s way better. Our waiter was nice but must have had too many tables (giving benefit of the doubt). Took us 30 minutes to get drinks. Cold appetizers, white rice was forgotten- the chef finally called someone over as he was almost done cooking & heard us talking as the waiter had been gone for a very long time and most were done eating already. If you want a refill, order 2 to begin with as you won’t get it. Only good thing about the place is the hibachi chefs. Maybe I’m comparing too much to the service at the other location but we received better and that place was twice as busy!! For $160 for 2, I expect better. Subpar at best.

Sick all night. Ron is unhelpful and arrogant. Will never return suggest you all do the same. Reporting to the health department. Been going here for 20 years. Manager says we do not have enough evidence that we were sick. Rotten seafood. Friends missed their flight due to severe sickness. Daruma has gone down hill. Spent $400 to be severely sick.

First time at this establishment. First, the vodka martinis were consistently cold and generous pours. Our service was excellent. Sushi rolls were mixed, I loved my yummy roll, my wife not so much on the shrimp roll she ordered. Our dining partners were very pleased with their sashimi, huge portions of fresh fish. The dining room in the back is too dark, and the booth is too small, we spent the evening kicking our dining partners' feet.
