Deep Lagoon Seafood & Oyster House

This restaurant is nice and elegant. Very clean and organized. Which is very important to me. Seafood is fresh and delicious. Our server Destin is Amazing and Professional. It was a wonderful dinner experience with family and friends. Definitely will come back. Highly recommend.

Another over hyped Sarasota restaurant. It’s okay- not special or worth going out of your way to get to. There are better seafood restaurants in town. Unfortunately people in this area settle for mediocre and call it great.

I booked this reservation a week in advance in person for 13 family members for a late Christmas celebration. They said they might have to put us outside, but they assured me and showed me the area that had the heat lamps above and on the sides. We ended up being at the furthest point away from the heat lamps and the overhead heat lamps. I had to send my husband to pick up jackets for everyone in the family .
It was a 7 o’clock reservation that they could accommodate, and I have to say I was stressed and extremely disappointed in the restaurant our waitress was phenomenal ,Cheyenne, but if you’re taking a large group there in the future, I would make sure they definitely are putting you under the section that has the overhead heat lamps also or be inside.

Wow, what an incredible way to wrap up the year! I can’t wait to return to Deep Lagoon after savoring such a fabulous meal and cocktail with my family. Mike welcomed us with the warmest and friendliest introduction as we settled into the outdoor bar, soaking in the serene view of the lake. Happy hour drinks and appetizers kick off at 2 PM, and let me tell you, the bourbon brussels sprouts were absolutely divine! I’m already buzzing with excitement to come back and try the oysters! Amazing food, outstanding service, and a fantastic ambiance—what more could you ask for? 🎉🥳🍽️✨

I love seafood and was optimistic about having a new location in waterside. We tried grouper, mahi and a few other things. Everything was very mediocre and the service was super slow. The best part is the atmosphere. The outdoor seating is cool. But it doesn’t overshadow the food. Given the prices I’d have expected better. Honestly Pinchers in Lakewood Ranch Main Street is better (if that gives you a comparison). Hopefully they improve.

We had drinks and snacks on a Monday afternoon. The brussel sprouts on the Happy Hour menu were the best we've had. We also had Clams Sorrento which was very good. The outdoor patio on the water is outstanding. Service good, not great.

Went to lunch today with our 2 adult children for our anniversary. Although the food was good, the service was horrible. Twice we spoke with the manager and the food was still delayed. I don’t know what’s going on there. Also, no apologies nor comps.

The live music was excellent, fitting perfect with the beautiful sunset we could see from the bar. The Chile rubbed trippletail was phenomenal. 10/10

Wonderful place and I really used to enjoy sitting at the outside bar for lunch and have a couple of Corona NA beers but they dropped them for Heineken 0.0 Modern restaurants should carry more NA options like Corona NA, Becks NA or Athletic or any of the 100s to choose. It’s silly to carry 15 other beers and 1 NA. Crab dip is awesome as well as the stone crab

Excellent service with Jody and her protege, party of 15 and was able to recall everyone’s name during interactions. Food was great!
