Dutch Valley Restaurant

Oh man, this place is wonderful. We had dinner one day and had to go back for breakfast the next morning. Try some of the Greek dishes; they are a great change of pace. Breakfast was perfect with carefully cooked eggs, fat little sausage links, and pancakes suitable as fluffy hub caps. The home fries are especially crisp and yummy, too.

Went for a quick lunch and had a lovely omelette that really hit the spot, tasty, filling, yet light. The seasoned staff were really welcoming and efficient, will definitely return.

We have been to Dutch valley several times, after work place, Christmas morning place, Sunday brunch, and today was to just grab a bite. We met with a friend which was a surprise and had the delicious sangrias and a few entrees. Our server was absolutely amazing. I’m sorry I don’t recall his name. We were laughing and having a wonderful time at this establishment, I guess we might’ve been a lil too loud or just were too happy for some peoples liking. We were told we couldn’t have anymore sangria 🤣. I guess the good vibes were too much for the manager who looked absolutely miserable. Too bad, me and my large family truly enjoy Dutch valley but I’m sure it will be awhile before we come back. Please go and enjoy the wonderful food but please keep your happiness and laughter to a minimum.

Don’t go to Dutch valley if you wanna catch up with people and get cut off after 2 because the manager is a rude person! Our server was amazing but the management sucks! Do better!

Places a bit run down. The menu for me is a little too big. I guess they're trying to hit everybody's taste buds when they should just focus on some of the Staples there a little bit better. I asked for Sunny side up eggs and they came out almost hard. $6 for an added egg is a bit much too

This was our first experience in the restaurant. My 3 year old daughter and I stopped in for a quick dinner, and we were very happy with the experience. The restaurant was very clean, the food was delicious, all of the staff was excellent, and the prices are unbeatable!! Thank you for the good time! <3

We visit Dutch Valley Restaurant at least twice every time we visit the area. Our server this time was Kristine S and she was very nice and attentive. The food is excellent. Hubs did not care for the French toast, nor did I, but my plate was excellent. I had scrambled eggs with bacon, sliced home fries and a biscuit with a side of sausage gravy. The pancakes are also excellent.

Note: Sign on the door says food or drink from outside is not allowed. They do not serve the soda that I like, so I always bring my own everywhere I go. On that note, should they ever not allow me to bring my drink in, I will walk away and spend my $50.00 elsewhere. We give great cash tips. There are MANY restaurants who will allow you to take your own drink in. They really should consider changing this policy.

Never in my life has any restaurant charged me for a meal I couldn’t eat. I’ve been a regular here and usually order the baked cod .At first, the fish tasted fine, but halfway through I discovered the bottom was undercooked, the breadcrumb coating was raw, and the fish underneath smelled bad and had an awful aftertaste! I was so hungry I would finish my meal, but it was simply inedible. When I complained, the waiter took the plate away, yet I was still charged. The manager told me that since we had ordered two of the same dishes and my partner finished his, “nothing was wrong” with mine. She refused to discuss it, offered no apology, and was unwilling to take the dish off the bill. Absolutely unacceptable and extremely disappointing !

I hope every staff member at Dutch Valley gets a raise immediately. this is the best breakfast place in Sarasota no contest. super good home-cooked feel to the food, servers are great at what they do and extremely kind, restaurant itself feels southern-diner style in a fantastic way. love it here. they have SO many options too, like, there truly is something for everyone. if you want brunch around here come to Dutch Valley
