My friend, husband and I all went here and had one of thee most awkward and unprofessional experience I've ever had in my life. We will or be coming back here any time soon. They had a full on DJ loud as can be 7pm on Sunday and no one was even in the room. We asked to sit outside at that point. Orders were coming out wrong and not in a timely manner. My margarita took about 10-15 minutes to get and when it came it tasted like it had sat at the bar just waiting for the server to run it to me. Travis was just awkward.... my husband ordered 3 different tacos, out came 3 of the same. They had to ask for their sides and they were messed up when they got them.

When my friend DID order a margarita it took 15 minutes and was watered down. The food was the next issue. I ordered the salt fajitas with filet. I had asked for no beans. Our server replied "well it comes with beans". I had to say "well I don't really like beans....". Finally he says "OHHH well would you like extra rice then?" "That sounds great, thanks". But when the food comes out I did not receive any rice. My other friend ordered three different tacos but when the food came out for him they were all the same (the served later told us that he rang it in wrong) but he didn't get any rice or beans either with his food. Our food was dry and needed more seasoning. We each had to go inside to get salt, pepper, and hot sauce because our server was nowhere to be found. When we were just barely finished, the server asked if we wanted our checks. We were going to order dessert, but that quickly changed our minds. It was a very unprofessional setting. We still paid for everything (with no discount) despite ALL the errors. We won't be returning. We should have trusted the reviews. Service was bad and food was mediocre.

Had a wonderful time sitting at the bar! Service was great from Rodney, drinks were good, and prices were reasonable. Place was relaxed and inviting. We didn't eat much, but the food to others looked and smelled fantastic. I will definitely be back to try the menu and enjoy more margaritas!

The decor was very stylish, had a very chill feel atmosphere with cool lighting effects. Service was exceptional. Sat at the bar Rodney served us, made us feel welcomed, relaxed and was DEFINITELY a 5 star bartender! We ordered margaritas, which were perfectly made! Also ordered Caesar salad, which I have to say, although I dont give 5 stars for anything, I would give it for the salads presentation. It was so pretty I felt bad eatting it😠We also ordered the queso, it wasnt the best Ive ever had, but wasnt the worst either. Will be back to try the tacos!!

Four of us to El Mandilon on May 11, 2019. We ordered 4 different meals and none of us enjoyed the meal. The food was sub par, to say the least. The meat each of us ordered was either dry and tasteless or dry and too salty. Tortillas were tasteless. Chips and salsa were good but that's not what should recomment this place. My “filet mignon†fajitas were about as far from filet mignon as anything I've tasted. Could go on but it would be boring. Don't waste your money or time. We certainly will never return.

If you enjoy (love) margaritas then you have to check this place out! $5 bucks for a handcrafted margarita is an amazing deal. I would recommend the pozole and some barbacoa tacos.. so good. I had an old fashion with mezcal and the smokey mezcal flavor makes this drink one of my new favorites... oh, they have a pií±ata margarita... crazy but delicious!
I usually don't go to any restaurant unless it's been well established.But I was a part of a group who had made last minutes reservations to this restaurant. There was 20 of us. I must say we were all pleasantly surprised as the food and the drinks exceeded our expectations. I loved my smoked Mexcalita. It was perfectly balanced between the jalapeí±o heat, the agave syrup and just the right balance of Mezcal. I ordered the Elote which was delicious. I cut off the corn kernels of the cob with my knife and ate the corn by spooning it into my mouth with corn chips. It's less messy and absolutely delicious. The corn chips were warm and crisp. The fresh tomato salsa could have used a "something extra" as it was blend. My main, the pork carnitas were perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. The side bowl of beans and rice was complete delight. Very tasty. I could have eaten that the whole night. Everyone I spoke to in our group loved their food. Only one item got low marks due to overcooking, the queso fondido! Though the service was spotty at times due to our large party the servers did their best keeping their friendly demeanor the whole time! We will go back!

I never write reviews on restaurants, but this place was so bad, I feel inclined to this time. Let's start with the server. Before we even sat down he was asking if we wanted guacamole or an appetizer. We hadn't even seen the menu yet. He talked incessantly. Just super annoying. We ended up ordering an appetizer that came out AFTER our meal. Now onto the food. Bland, bland, bland. I ordered the salt block fajitas. While it did have a nice display, it lacked any sort of flavor. Not one person in my group liked their food. It was such a disappointment. Bad service and horrible food.

Wow. I will say, we read the bad reviews before we went BUT we are in the industry and wanted to give it a shot. There were 6 of us. First thing we ordered was a simple round of shots, chilled, with a few pineapple backs and limes. 15 minutes later they arrive, but no limes and pineapples. Our server didn't come back for another 15 minutes and we had a bunch of food we wanted to order. Drinks that we asked for were constantly being forgotten. One guy ordered a Corona Lite and it came 20 minutes later. 6 people, 6 different food orders, and nothing written down. Needless to say, it took almost an HOUR to get our food andddd everything got messed up. Everything was so bland and missing ingredients listed on the menu, it's embarrassing to call it a Mexican restaurant. I asked for Poblano sauce 3 different times and never got it. One girl didn't even get her food until after the checks came, and he still didn't take it off her bill. And the meal was completely wrong. She also got charged for others drinks/meals. This was a 3 hour ordeal and we left extremely disappointed and will choose Taco Bell over this weekend place any day. Really hope it turns around!

Pretty space. Great decor. Clean bright open concept. We ordered all the tacos! From lamb to grouper they were all delicious. Street corn was messy but worth it! Tiquelia options, local drafts too. We will be back. Great for friends and family alike. Outdoor seating available too.
