This is a true Gem! Loved the fresh food, authentic, and the service. Also, the drinks are high quality. This is the best Mexican restaurant in Sarasota. Highly recommend!

had wife order food. the portion of food was one third of what it used to be when we bought the same food there before. then on top of that. they charged almost 3 times the price. the food used to be excellent and now its just ok at best. the value doesn't match the price. parts of the side dishes were missing. never buying food here again.

So what's up with the 'surprise' credit card charge at the end of dining? This should be disclosed by the server OR visibly on your menu. Because of this, I will not return even though I liked the food!
UPDATE: I just ate at Mi Pueblo on Bee Ridge & McIntosh! $22. for delish enchilada, tamale, guacamole, rice, beans, chips, salsa, marguerita AND NO EXTRA CHARGE TO USE CREDIT CARD! Great service & happy to leave a hefty tip. Try this place instead of the above. xoxo

One of the better ones in Sarasota, that I've found. I keep comparing to back in St Louis. The decor usually is Really colorful, decorated, neat, clean. Sharp.
Food was better than others in Sarasota.. others are horrible! I'm sorry to be so out spoken. But I really enjoy Mexican food, normally.
I did enjoy my burrito, with fajita veggies, cheese melted over the top. Plus I ordered a side of the cheese dip. The queso dip. It was tasty.
The server was sweet, nice young lady. I'll go back and try it again.
The salsa and chips were good, if anything, they were over salted.
Seems the Mexican prime try to Americanize the food but adding salt and eliminate the jalapenos.
A big hint if you read this review: There are other peppers to use! A little cayenne pepper, and many others are yummy.

Parking: Plenty of free parking
