The breakfast experience at this restaurant was absolutely unacceptable. They offer a small buffet along with items on the menu, and I ordered the “Westin Continental” without any explanation that this item was actually part of the buffet and would not be served to the table. In fact, when I ordered it, the waitress even asked whether I wanted potatoes or fruit on the side — making it completely clear that she intended to serve the dish, not direct me to the buffet.
Because of her total lack of communication, I ended up sitting there waiting while the rest of my family received their meals and even finished eating. Our server didn’t check on us a single time. She only paid attention after we finally demanded to know when my order would arrive.
This was, without exaggeration, the worst breakfast service I’ve ever experienced — zero communication, zero attention, and an astonishing level of incompetence in basic hospitality.

evoq restaurant in the Westin was great! We only had breakfast, but if their lunch and dinner is anything like their breakfast, you probably won't be disappointed. The food is delicious, prepared with great detail and generous portions. If you're staying at the Westin, no need to look any further than evoq for your morning start. We ate breakfast here both mornings and all meals were excellent! We had the classic eggs benedict, the quinoa power bowl, the banana Foster's French toast, and the ham and cheese omelette with braised pork belly and tavern ham. Perfectly done! Tables available street side. It was a bit noisy but manageable.

The service was superb, we were greeting warmly and our waiter was a real pro. The ambience is lovely, a pretty room and spacious setting, one of the friendliest restaurants in town. The food was only so-so, my steak was nothing special and $40. But we will return, because from the Westin, you can walk to the Van Wezel in 12 minutes, and avoid the scrum in the parking lot before and after a performance by the Orchestra or the Ballet. From parts of the parking lots, it's a 5-minute walk anyway.

We had a reunion of our Bookclub here and the wait staff especially our main waiter was so wonderful. I wish I could recall his name. All the staff were great and the food was spectacular. We had a lovely dinner experience here. Thank you so much. The atmosphere was also very nice.

We celebrated my sister's birthday here and had such a wonderful experience! Our server, a young gentleman, took excellent care of us—attentive, kind, and even offered to keep our cake in the fridge until it was time to bring it out with candles, which made the evening extra special. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were just as good. The restaurant itself is gorgeous with such thoughtful design, and the atmosphere was perfect—not too loud, so we could enjoy our conversations. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Excellent dinner! My husband rated his steak a 6, but my mushroom goat cheese panini was a 10! We were one of two tables in the whole restaurant and service was a tad bit slow which was surprising. Overall, I will definitely return!

The restaurant is gorgeous and the service is great. The food was nothing spectacular. My main course grouper I got blackened and it was very dry and the accompanying fried zucchini was soggy. The tomato bisque was excellent.

Evoq is in the lobby of The Westin Hotel. the atmosphere is edgy and modern yet warm and inviting! The food was surprising good as it is in a hotel. We arrived when the restaurant just opened so, of course, it was quiet but the wait staff was lacking. They were not attentive and left our empty plates too long on the tables. Other than that it was a very good experience.

Easter Brunch experience was good up until the bill. Understand that adding a service charge on a special occasion is typical, but then asked for another tip on top was over the top. Should have been presented as a suggested "additional" tip. Didn't catch the math until tip was already added. We left the additional full tip, but that was handled poorly.
