I can honestly say that I was extremely pleased to have found this restaurant! It is the perfect quaint French restaurant with a local following. No joke—each patron who walked in was greeted by name by the restaurant owners. As for dinner, it was spot on, with all the elements you'd expect from a French fine dining experience. Highly recommend!

I live in the Southside Village area and totally forgot how outstanding this restaurant is. A friend and I had dinner last night, I had the grouper and he had steak frites and started with a shared escargot appetizer. The food is the BEST in Sarasota. The restaurant is beautifully appointed, the owner and his wife serve you and both are charming. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed
Vegetarian options: a number of dishes suitable for vegetarians! i also have a shrimp allergy & was able to find a number of options to choose from (no issues)
Dietary restrictions: ooh la la! our first visit to FIGARO BISTRO (Hillview area) was absolutely fabulous & authentic. we felt very welcomed from the minute we stepped into the restaurant. amazing french food (fresh), great service, wine selection (french), vibe, & overall evening. we ordered the grouper special + dover sole meunière (+ fromage entrée, poire [pear] dessert) & lovely sancerre sauvignon blanc. and also had the side potato gratin…absolutely phenomenal. the subtle layered gruyère flavor instantly took me back to france in the very best way. we just returned from a few weeks in the côte d’azur & about to head out again to the provence region next month. this was the perfect restaurant to ‘bridge the french gap’ (that we miss). the warm ‘coziness’ is reminiscent of paris brasseries/restaurants, w/an added elegant & inviting ambiance. for those who comment on close tables, don’t really get the french brasserie experience…which this delivers. service is extremely attentive, w/a high attention to every detail, w/o hovering. decor & ambiance are very inviting, w/a lovely french nod throughout. this is now one of our new FAVE srq restaurants. i only wish we would have found them sooner. we will return again for our french fix! highly reco for a lovely date night or delicious night w/friends and/or family. merci beaucoup for such a lovely evening!!

Was reminded that I wanted to try this place today. So glad we did. The chef's special soup was delicious (asparagus) and the moules frites so good I couldn't make it to dessert! Next time. Excellent service, great wine too.

Atmosphere great. Owner is wonderful Camille. Waiter is arrogant and never ever apologizes when food doesn’t come out prepared as requested. When an entire plate of steak frites is sent back undercooked doesn’t even offer anything as an apology

Our first visit to Figaro Bistro, and it was fantastic! Great staff, cozy vibe, and the food was EXCELLENT! They were serving a favorite of mine Cassoulet! It’s hard to find, and it was executed perfectly! My wife had the Scallops…also delicious! We will definitely come back. Highly recommend Figaro Bistro!Bravo to all at the restaurant!

Have eaten at Figaro several times and never been disappointed.As an ardent Francophile with many years of experience in France Figaro is the nearest thing in Sarasota to dining at a Bistro in Paris. Camille and jerome could not be more professional or attentive, the food is sooo good and the Wine selection perfect. Have recommended many friends, all of which were well satisfied and thanked us for the recommendation. If you like escargot make sure you try the Escargot Muerette.
