First, the waiter. He was attentive and very pleasant. Perfect! Second, we had 3 different entrees, duck breast, dover sole, and a special ribeye. Everything was delicious, and the portions were perfect. The Dover sole was delicate, simply seasoned with lemon. The duck breast was excellent, crispy skin. The ribeye was cooked to medium rare, and while sauces were offered, our diner chose no sauce. Sides were included and we had green beans, mashed potatoes (incredibly creamy and buttery) and crispy fries. We tasted each other's dishes and we all agreed that we would happily return to try other things on the menu. The ambiance was small bistro, white tablecloth, tables well placed for space. Pricing was commensurate with other local high end restaurants and while I wish it was more reasonable, the food and the experience made it worth it.
This is a busy neighborhood and this restaurant has a parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. As a first time visitor, it would be helpful to know this in advance. This French restaurant excels in all of its offerings.
Outstanding as always. So many neighbors were concerned it would change with new ownership but we can tell you it's BETTER! Delicious! We had escargot, the French onion soup, Dover Sole, French fries and profiteroles! It's back into our regular rotation. We had a beautiful evening!
Always a French experience of great food and gracious hosting. Atmosphere is so French. We love this place
WONDERFUL MEAL! So very pleased the new owner has not just continued fine French gastronomy at this charming restaurant — but improved on the offerings. Osso Buco was possibly the best I have ever had. Carolyn's Branzino was outstanding. Preceded by a simple but deliciously crisp and tasty salad. Followed by scrumptious Profiteroles. Congratulations to Erika! Can't wait to return!
We had a wonderful dinner at Figaro Bistro! We didn't want to cook the night before Thanksgiving and opted for a dinner out - Figaro was great! We started with the delicious foie gras with fig preserve and a bowl of terrific asparagus soup. That was followed by a very generous portion of mussels and fries - really excellent!! Our mains were the seafood with pasta, the duck and the filet. All were cooked well and served warm! We were too full to even think of desert - next time. We look forward to our next visit - nice to find such a gem here in Sarasota!
Always a great experience at the SRQ gem. I highly recommend for a wonderful night. Service is wonderful.
Always a great experience. Food is wonderful and Jerome provides the best service. French food at home!

Our dinner at Figaro was absolutely, unconditionally outstanding. Triple Tail entrees were uniformly adored. Service was excellent. Entire experience could not have been better.

This place is a keeper. My wife and I have eaten here a number of times -- food, service, ambiance is fabulous. To add to a great evening, Erica overhead us talking about celebrating our wedding anniversary. With our bill she included an envelope of all the things that happened on that date over the years - very nice!
GREAT atmosphere, service impeccable, food authentic. You get what you pay for and it's obviously premium quality. LOVE the wine list and specials. Mixing it up... love it.

Figaro is our all time favorite in Sarasota. Food is delicious, wait staff is attentive & the owner makes it so comfortable and inviting
Even better than first time this week, if thats possible. Other restaurants in Sarasota are all good but on some lower level than Figaros. My sister, who rarely eats meat, ordered the filet and wanted to drink sauce it was so good. Yes i wasnt dreaming the asparagus soup IS the best ever. But Dover sole the star. Expertly cooked and fresher than fresh. Owner and waiter beyond gracious and friendly. You could just tell they love what they are doing. Wish we lived here. Can't wait til next years vacation!!!
Bring Back David & Camille to Figaro! We used to love this wonderful authentically French wine bar & bistro. Relaxed, elegant, friendly & great food. While it was always a bit noisy due to the size and low ceilings, you could well overlook this one short coming. Now under new ownership, Figaro is overpriced, serving bland, mediocre food; with room temperature white wine and champagne by the glass; & down to one waiter running around like crazy trying to keep up with taking & serving food orders, making & serving drinks, clearing tables, & delivering checks. We waited almost a half hour for our dinners after the appetizers and watched tables around us who came in afterwards being served. When we arrived for our reservation for 2 people practically all of the 2-tops were open. We were put at a large round table in the window sandwiched next to a loud 4-top. Before we sat down we asked if we could move to a different 2-top. The hostess-owner said that she was full with reservations and that this was the only way she could make the service work.I still have no idea what she was talking about as we did not want to take a 4-top but only move to another 2-top with more room and there were plenty of them free. Hard for me to believe that every other 2-top had been specifically requested in the reservations & if that was in fact the case, then the answer should have been: "I'm terribly sorry, but all the other 2-tops have been specifically requested in the reservations". I think she must have realized how ridiculous and non-sensical her response was as she then said she could move us to the 2-top next to the original large window table, which is all we wanted. In sum: not worth the $188 (not including tip at 20% which the waiter clearly earned- hope he is getting hazard pay!) for 2, without desert.
