Forked at Waterside

We went to brunch today , 1/19. We waited 30 mins for our order to be taken, then another 40 plus minutes for it to arrive. I ordered Avacado toast with chicken sausage links on the side when my order came , It was ice cold with no sausage links or fruit, there was barely a trace of avacado on the toast. My sister ordered an egg white omelette with sausage links, fruit, and rye toast, she only received a small cold omelette, My husband ordered an omelette with fruit, stone cold as well , we didn’t get our turkey sausage and rye toast till the end of our mealI, instead of links we got some type of round patty and cold rye toast. The hostess was not very friendly, However I will say Melanie who ended up taking our order, because no one else would , as we sat there with no service for an extended period of time, was kind and did the best she could under the circumstances. So needless to say we won’t return. I hope Melanie finds a better place to work with more support.

Forked is great for breakfast or lunch because of the many selections to choose from. The last few times I have been there during the week for lunch around noon, they seemed a bit slow which was unusual. It might be the post holiday slow down before the snowbirds return. For as slow as they were, it took awhile for someone to acknowledge and seat us. It also seemed longer than usual for our food to be prepared. However, our sandwichs and waffle fries were very good, as usual!

Been several times .. service tends to be slow but the food is worth it .. on New Year’s Day they were short staffed food was overcooked and no one was available to talk to I have called twice now the manager did advise me New Year’s Day things fell apart ( 150 dollar breakfast) but that she would discuss with the owner and call me back .. still no return call and unable to leave a message because the mailbox is full .. very disappointed in one of our favorite spots !!

Most of the people in our party didnt like the taste of their food. Expensive and Bathroom was dirty. Not what u would expect for Lakewood Ranch/Waterside. Hate saying this but thats how we felt
Won't be going back there.

We’ve been here twice. First experience was good other than the restaurant inside being extremely warm. We recently returned, sat down & was brought drinks right away. Our server then disappeared. She was continuously helping the table next to us, never even looking in our direction. We tried to be patient as they were busy. After 20 min, a table of 9 was sat down. We then watched them order. After 45 min of no service, we decided it was time to go. We love waterside & the atmosphere but will not be returning any time soon.

Plus side: “40 minute wait” was only 15 to be seated. The 40 minute wait was for the food after we ordered. 15 minutes was waiting for a coffee, an iced tea and a “just made” orange juice. Never did see our server (manager) again, ever.
3 tables, including a 6-top, came in and sat around the two of us, all receiving their food before us. When it did finally come, after inquiring with a passing by server, my rubbery crepes were undercooked. The “stuffed tater tots were yummy, but for $65 for the two of us I won’t be back.

The food was ok and the service good. But the restaurant was messy. And an employee was using a bug zapper in the kitchen to zap bugs which we csn see in plain view. Food gave me a severe belly ache, not sure if it was not fresh. Wont be back again

Don't order takeout or doordash from here. Your food will be late. They kept me waiting 20 minutes today on two breakfast plates. They didnt communicate that there would be a long wait either. I found that out after 15 minutes

Waitress was very rude from the beginning. Spilled water on our table and did not care to clean it but 5 minutes later threw napkins in the middle and did not say anything. Drinks had pieces floating around. Nice place but bad server. Waitress: Skyler

This is the best Breakfast and brunch restaurant in the whole Lakewood Ranch area. The latte coffee is spectacular and the chorizo skillet is the best. Recommend 💯 %.
