The chef-owner is a FlavorQueen! For groups with both dedicated vegans and non-vegans, there are creative delicious menu choices for all. It was impressive and delicious and fun all rolled into one package. Weordered two kinds of tacos, an incredible salmon tartare, stuffed beets for appetizers. All were creative and well prepared and downright good. We hada chicken, a fish, and a veggie mushroom pasta that was multilayers of flavor. There was nothing “meh” about this mealor experience. Theyjust got a liquor license and needto work on catching the menu up to their offerings but that is a detail that will be worked out over time.

This was our first time at the Green Zebra Cafe and we chose it because a member of our group is vegan. They have a nice selection of vegetarian, vegan and meat/seafood dishes. The presentation of each the entrees was beautiful Overall, we all felt like we ate clean and healthy. The mix of flavors was delicious and complimentary. We all enjoyed our entrees and the wine, a pinot noir from Chile, was very good. The desserts were amazing (highly recommend the key lime pie)! Our server was very friendly and helpful - she made recommendations and answered our questions. We ate outside and we had a lovely time. We will go definitely go back!

The appetizers and main course were delicious and plated beautifully. Dessert was subpar. The flavors were lacking. The service needs to be addressed. Our drinks took an incredibly long time to arrive and the server really wasn't available for refills and had an unpleasant demeanor. The food is overall recommended but the service may deter a return visit.

Early dinner before a show and it was a lovely experience. Service was excellent, with good pacing. Prices were very reasonable. The food was very good and the menu had good variety. We started with the olives, a nice portion and they were very tasty. I ordered the roasted carrot entree which I really enjoyed. The carrot was huge and I couldn't finish it. My friend had the fish tacos and really liked them. I really appreciate all the plant-based menu items!

Excellent Short Rib Tacos. Would be even better with a good pita in lieu of the tortilla. Excellent burger - special of the day - but really overpriced ($28). Sokeye Salmon Tartare was disappointing. Pieces of smoked salmon is not Tartare. Humus barely goes with salmon. Humus and Aioli don't belong to each other. BTW, I doubt it was Sokeye at all. Grilled Barramundi and Grilled Barramundi were fine. Restaurant was nearly empty, yet service delivered by two waitresses was pretty amateurish.

I went to Green Zebra with my partner who has celiac Saturday morning. The waiter and the kitchen were both very attentive to her dietary needs and were more than happy to accommodate and provide a meal that she was able to safely enjoy. Also they let you pair up different types of Eggs Benedict. Everybody should do this! All in all we had a very nice time at Green Zebra Cafe.

So we used to love going to Green Zebra once a year when visiting Sarasota during spring break. Our go to is the eggs benedict. We were excited to go again and just went today. I decided to try something different. I got the shakshuka which was advertised as a house favorite. Unfortunately, the presentation was awful and the flavor was only ok (very bland spices and same monotonous goopy unappetizing texture throughout). It looked like someone just threw open a can of boogery tomatoes and plopped it on top of over hard eggs. I get much better shakshuka in my home state of IN (a state not known for shakshuka mind you). Very disappointed. We did like the eggs benedict duo (one was pesto and the other was regular), although we remember the bennies being tastier before. Service was standard. The best part was the cute atmosphere. The decor is cute and there is plenty of sunlight that comes into the restaurant which I love. The quality of the food has gone down, but not sure how or why.

I ate at the Green Zebra the day the first time and was so pleasantly surprised at the wonderful variety on their menu for gluten-free and vegan options! The service was pleasant and quick, and the food was delicious! Going back!

I would give a 10 star rating if I could for this cafe! We visited Sarasota for the first time and struggled to find a Vegan restaurant with GF options that could accommodate Celiac Disease. The owner was extremely knowledgeable about Celiac and made sure that I was able to enjoy a dish safely. I had the raw vegan Lasagna- and it was out of this world! The menu offers vegan and non vegan options, all with high quality ingredients and is presented beautifully. Alex and Diego served us, and they were so friendly. We went back the next day again for lunch and juice shots!Dietary restrictions: Celiac Disease- GF options- organic options- vegan and keto options

I know this looks pretty generous but they have best ‘traditional breakfast’ I have ever had. Would definitely recommend thaw only problem is that it’s a pretty long wait time but besides that it’s amazing. Also if you like people watching this is definitely the place for you if you sit outside.
